What is it good for? Is it good? I did a search on it but didn't find anything.
Low reps high weight is good for strength building. Since your in the bodybuilding section, I would guess this is not a good workout for you.....but on the other hand, Ronnie Coleman does low reps with a lot of weight so......
Yea you will get bigger
3 sets of 5 on bench is good for strength and mass.. its all about diet though

Exactly. Don't forget to eat enough to support muscle growth.

3x5 is excellent for size and strength, especially for strength, but hypertrophy and strength work off of each other anyway

Do you really think you won't be bigger after putting 100lbs on your bench?
Thanks for the responses guys. Ive been doing 5x5 for about 10 weeks and this week I thought I just change it up some. I did a 3x5 yesterday with 225. I was just given it a try. I'm not sure if I should go back to a 5x5 I'm at 220 with that. If i stick with a 3x5 do i add 5 pounds the following week like I had been doing with the 5x5? How would these to types of sets compare?
Thanks

How about doing 3 reps of 5 sets? Anyone?
i'm not sure how this question is any different than your first question? the same principles apply.
