Bah, who cares about the east. Vancouver = Stanley Cup Champs
"It is often said, mainly by the "no-contests", that although there is no positive evidence for the existence of God, nor is there evidence against his existence. So it is best to keep an open mind and be agnostic. At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thought it seems a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

    Richard Dawkins

"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

I think Boston's got a good shot this year if Dafoe hits a hot streak. It's been said a few times by opposing coaches in the nhl that they are the best team in the league and nobody knows it. I think Detroit's got the best team though.

This might of been true had the red wings decided to not play in the playoffs this year

Bruin - Avalanche Stanley Cup final, Av's take it in 6

I am a HUGE Av's fan, since the lowly days in Quebec. Being from MA though, ya gotta love the B's too!

Jersey over Boston if it came to it.

    Leafs over Philly as well.

I think the leafs will go far but not sure if they have what it takes to go all the way. Habs are out first round, ottawa is garbage, boston I don't think can do it either. Jersey has quite a bit of playoff experience and don't think brodeur won't be ready for the playoffs. If I had to pick I think it would be either the leafs or jersey coming out of the east.

The west I gotta go with colorado...too much talent and experience...i'm think the wings are going to flop yet again this year.

LMAO@canucks fans! You guys just be happy you still have a team, and 4 more games to watch before the summer.

Can we say '93 all over again

Cujo is great...Schwabb I believe had the best GAA while he played, and barasso is the third which he's played solid in the games he's been in as well. Oh and Allen you need a good goalie to win, but you also need good players...don't think cancer boy is going to win you a cup...he may win you a game so that you guys go out 4-1 instead of 4-0 though.

Cujo is injured, and Schwaab will not take a team deep into the playoffs.

So here's what I picked for my pool:
    Shanahan (det)
    Sakic (col)
    Sundin (tor)
    Guerin (bos)
    Oates (phil)
    Neidermeyer (NJ)
    Nuinduiyk (NJ)
    Tkachuk (STL)
    Nolan (SJ)
Im still undecided between Federov or Hull from Det.

    Opinions?

    I forgot, Brodeur as goalie.

Why don't we start a Hockey Pool here on WBB? 5 bucks (American, of course). Winner (if there be one) gets it all sent to him. Sounds fun to me.

Don't follow NHL much, just play hockey, not a sofa jock. I hope Vancouver make it to the final and lose so we can have the awesome riots again downtown.

I am a Red Wings fan for life. I'm kinda worried about their recent play, and that game 1 loss was BS. I have faith they will come back and slain the Canucks. They can't stay hot forever, and Detroit is ready to wake up.
