What would be the best way to workout to maintain what strength and muscle I have throughout a summer of only working out once per week or so?
My job causes me to travel a lot, and to a lot of small cities, making it really hard to work out. Maybe every week or so, I come to a place where I can make it to the gym. What type of workouts would be most beneficial to me in order to maintain my strength so I can hit it hard again when I get back home in August?
Higher reps and lower weight? Lower reps and heavier weight?
My goal here isn't to get stronger (unfortunately), it's just not feasible with the amount of time I will have at the gym. The goal is just to maintain as much as possible.
Thanks for any advice.

The Quest
Carb Cycle at your maintenance and do something like this if you can only do it once a week, all low and heavy.
Clean
Squat
OH Press
Deadlift
Pullups
Id also do some BW stuff and HIIT in the hotel. You can also load up a back pack and do the stairs, plyometrics, probably even pullups if you get creative. Work on things like single leg squats, single leg DLs, pushups with your hands on chairs so you sink very deep, squat thrusters, etc... A great book I used during a time when I couldnt get to a gym was the mens health home workout bible. Just get creative!
