It is odd saying this but at 34, married, and with kids, finding a younger person to motivate and inspire myself to succeed is what this article has done. I was pretty much the same size as you when I started on January 22nd of this year. 6'0, 280, and way too out of shape. I couldn't bench, curl, or do a sit up. I am now down to 235 a mere 6 months later and workout 4 to 5 times a week. I still have the fear of gyms so I use my home workout system of a boflex and the select tech-dumbells and have noticed a big change, but kept on second guessing myself in how far and how good I can look.
I have challenges and get down, especially since I have been at 235-240 for the past month, but I am noticing gain in strength, but also know that I can't get there without putting in the work AKA Cardio and watching what I eat a lot better. I do have a lot of questions because I always doubt if I am doing the right thing and when should I expect results before switching routines or adding something new, but these stickies about dumb questions always make me think differently about asking them on here or really even ever posting. This article and your transformation is amazing and gives me renewed hope that what I am doing will pay off.
