    griffin vs. silva

Whos watching this saturday, and who are you picking? I'm gonna say Forest, but he'll probably get slaughtered just because I want him to win.

Silva will win IMO. He is just too good of a fighter, I can't see him being beat, even when moving up a weight class

You gotta like Forrest, but I don't think he's ever met anyone like Spider. I think Spider will win.

I'd really like to see St. Pierre put on some size and meet Silva in the middleweight division. That would be a good matchup...

    That's a pay-per-view I'd actually pay to see.

Silva is going to beat the crap out of Forest...run Forest run...

Should be a pretty good fight since Forrest can take a punch, and he will take several that night. I think Silva will take it, but I don't think it will be quite as easy as some of his other fights.

I think Silva wins... But Forrest is going to take a beating and keep on coming. Forrest is a definite badass. But, Silva is going to win it.

Silva. Forrest is one of my favorites, but like everyone mentioned before me, Silva is just too good. Definitely gonna be a great fight to watch though!

I'm not going to count Forrest out on this fight. He's a BIG 205'er and he can take **** tons of punishment and has lots of stamina. He's been training with Drysdale and his ground game has gotten a lot better(used to be his bread and butter in the old days). I believe that if the fight goes to the ground, Forrest would out wrestle silva and get position due to size and strength. If it stays standing, I give it to Silva. Its going to be a great fight to watch. Its hard watching 2 fighters you fans of fighting each other, but somebody has to win. Its gonna be hard to watch the Rua and Machida fight as well.

Silva has been lackluster his last couple of fights, but he still is a better fighter than forest. But I like forest, even if hes not the greatest fighter hes a die hard and gives 110% every fight, I do hope he pulls off and upset.
Success is achieved by doing a little more than you thought you could, and a lot more than anyone else.

Forrest has a pretty suspect chin

I see this one being quick and easy for Silva

I have a feeling this is gonna be a massacre. Both fights actually. Yes Forrest beat Shogun and Rampage when no one thought he would(I actually thought he would beat Rampage), but Anderson would smoke both of them too.

i think it'll be worth watching at least. cuz forrest is known for upsets, not to mention as ive said before, he may not be the best at fighting over all but he'll take a beating that none of them could stand.

Agreed. Forrest is my favorite specifically for his attitude. He gives it everything he's got and then some, and keeps on coming. Then again I love anyone who can have his face bashed in and still smile the entire time. If you've ever fought someone who can do that, then it really messes with you in the head. Makes you feel like you can pound away untill your fists go raw, and he'll still be smiling his ass off just to be able to do what he loves.

This is one of the fights that I'd love to see, but then again I'd hate to. I'd love to watch these two go at it, but I'm afraid for either one to lose to make me think less of them. It's like a lose-lose situation.

I think it'll depend on whether or not Forrest can defend against knees and roundhouses. The highlights I've seen of Silva (I'm acknowledging I haven't followed him for very long) almost always show him controlling the fight.

    ain't nuttin but a peanut.

You will have gotten stronger when the weight that feels heavy is actually heavier than the weight that feels heavy now. Then the weight that feels heavy now will be a warmup for the weight that feels heavy then. But the weight will always feel heavy or you're not lifting enough weight. Clear? -Rippetoe

If you want a "decent" free online stream, TVU is a pretty good program. There's a channel called mma-tv on the network that will always have them live. Nothing beats a good BBQ and HD TV + Drunken alcoholics though to watch it with .

Anyone buying the fights tonight? I want to see the Silva fight, but don't see this card worth the money. Outside of the top 2 fights it is a UFN level card. They are putting on too many shows a year imo. You get some great and then some weak.

Not buying it either. Some cards are better than others, this is one of those weaker cards. Thanks to Strikeforce though I look forward to seeing some free UFC in the near future LOL
