    That's an interesting question. It's also one that can start some tempered discussions. I'm sure I'm nowhere near being the biggest. My arms are only about 18.5", but I've only been working out since December, so I have a long way to go. Some people do post pics, but it's more for critiques than to show off. I'm interested to see some of the other member's sizes, too.

    I think it can be pretty interesting if the "bigger in size" members would post their pictures - and it would add credibility...

    It doesn't have to be 20" cold arms dudes, though, I am not sure you can reach this size with no joice :P

    What you look like?

    I'm kind of thinking like Wolf. Since newcomers get a lot of varied advice, it'd be nice to see what's actually working for the people giving you the advice.

    Okay, I'm quite a bit bigger than MonStar. He's leaner, though. He and I are probably genetic opposites.

    My pictures are posted in my journal. However, just because someone is big and/or ripped doesn't mean you should take their advice. Most of the time, genetics can overcome diet and training stupidity. My friend Jon ("maddog" from the show manhunt) ate pizza every day in college and still had veins in his abs year round. If I ate what he did, I'd look like sh!t, but he's 250 lbs @ 6% bodyfat.

    If that's the automatic assumption that you gather from my one question, then maybe it's you that has a lot to learn. I know that size doesn't equal knowledge. It's even a cliché...muscle-head. Although I think that people under estimate the intelligence of those of us, who have dedicated routines that we're actually devoted to completing every day.

    On a side note, this argument is one that I've been in recently with a friend. I firmly believe that one can get a cold 20" arm, which I of course intend to do. I do understand that genetics will play a big part of it.

    My stats are as follows:
    Arms = 18.5" cold.
    Forearms = 14.5" cold.
    Height = 6'1"
    Weight = 251 lbs as of this morning.
    Age = 22 as of the 28th.
    Bodyfat = around 13-14% (I also realize that I'll lose some arm as I go down to about 10, but most of my fat is concentrated in my legs/gut)

    I've only been seriously training for about a year and a half, and haphazardly for a total of three and a half. In that time I've gone from 195 pounds, 21% bodyfat to where I am now.

    My arms used to be quite thin, actually. Once I started training they just blew up. I really don't hit them hard, as they tend to overpower the rest of me. I feel that by the time I hit my mid 20's I should be able to naturally hit 20 inches plus. I don't have a very good bicep peak, so that will hinder me.

    When someone says take somebody's advice and you ask them why you should, is he big, that pretty much spells things out.

    Knowledge is knowledge, whether it comes from a 16 year old, mullet having fewl or a 250lb ripped mofo that's been training since he was a kid. Don't confuse knowledge with experience. Experience is a great thing but can also lead to a lot of hot debates because experience doesn't really take into account things like genetics. As others have said, a fool can use a foolish program and still look great in the end, but it doesn't mean he couldn't have looked better.

    This is more directed at black curtain as well since he claimed it would lend to their credibility. Nobody has anything to prove to you, if you want help then go ahead and listen to the people here, taking their good time to assist others. This board more than any other I've seen has a good group of people that won't sit idly if false info or advice is given.

    I thought Black Curtain was just saying that if people posted their pics, it would lend credibility to their claims in size. Not their knowledge. And I'm going to agree with you about the difference in knowledge and experience. Hell, most of my knowledge of anatomy has come from magazines. I admit it. FLEX. Ironman...etc. If you actually read them, they have a lot of useful info...sometimes. But, for the most part, the advice I post on this forum comes directly from MY experience, which, truthfully, will absolutely not produce the same results for everyone that takes it into consideration. But, on that note, no one else can expect their advice to produce anything more. Genetics is all there is to it. We can just give helpful hints along the way.

    I would have to say the biggest and strongest person, I have seen on here has to be Chris Mason, The man can curl like to 200lbs and his other lifts are up their to. As far as knowledge goes listen to guys like Chris mason, powerman, Gino, belial, Latman, Adam Mckinnon, Maki and Paul Stagg. They have different opinions and styles, but all know their stuff.

    Sounds like you have a lot to learn. I'm a pretty big natty...with good strength (6'3 255) but would definately fall in a the group that still has a lot to learn...
    20" arms seems like a stretch to me, unless you don't care about bf% and remaining natural.

    I am 250 so you could say I am big but I was 230 when I started training.

    I could train like a clown and still grow because I have really high levels of insulin.

    This is all about science. When I learn something on one of these boards I go and research it with google to get the scientific understanding to go with it.

    As was mentioned there is a big difference between knowledge and experience.

    Some people don't know why certain things work but they will tell you what "they did" and what the result was.

    It is up to you to then learn "why".

    Also if you want to learn who's advice to take do a search for all posts for a certain user.

    Like "PowerManDL" I have been reading alot of his posts lately.
