Hit my first 500 last night in the gym. This is a big deal for me as it's THE goal I had when I first walked into Southside to bench almost 3 years ago.
Thanks to Karsten for giving me great handoffs and setting my shirt. Thanks to Vincent and Rhodes for teaching me how to bench and sticking with me all this time, and for being generally awesome. And thanks to Josh and Brian (and the whole crew) for being great training partners.

I absolutely love it! It was so awesome seeing you hit that milestone last night. That's huge my friend. You have come so far over the years. What's more impressive folks is that Drew does not believe in assistance. He pretty much comes in and benches. He says he trains during the week, but I don't buy it. Hey, I have had successful training cycles of once a week. Drew you proved my favorite point, you just need to SFW!

You're the man. That was an awesome lift and you worked hard to achieve it. Well, you worked... Great work. It's a pleasure training with you and I look forward to you getting back in the gym after the next 'drew' is born. Congratulations! It was evident by your post-lift reaction that it was a huge accomplishment for you, and it is. With all the BS out there in the powerlifting community (which is full of a bunch of cry-baby bitches), your lift reminds me of why we SHOULD be lifting. For fun and personal accomplishment. You embody that and I thank you for re-openning my eyes to what lifting is really like. Seeya soon, Bro.

No one can argue that 500!all it was missing was 3 judges! How did it feel right before the lock out? In my opinion you got 10-20 lbs more in you right now.
