I need a new ab workout, I've been getting tired of my old one. I like to workout my abs 2 times a week. I also don't have anything to do weigted ab excercises where I work out. (except with dumbbells). Here is what I've been doing:
3 sets of crunches
3 sets of reverse crunches
3 sets of twisting crunches
and weighted side bends with dumbbells
I know this isn't all that good. I would also like to have a better lower ab excercise, and I don't have a place to do hanging leg raises.
How do you train your abs and what should I be doing?
I think that's fine, maybe a little much.
I train abs twice a week. Pulldown abs, incline situps, and leg raises. Sets and reps vary, 3 to 5 sets, 8-15 reps.
Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei
"You're wrong, and I have a completely irrelevant pubmed abstract that may or may not say so." - Belial
