Word is he tweaked his hamstring on his 2nd squat. He passed on his third. Yeah, the 821 was his OPENER! He still finished the meet and almost deadlifted 800.
he tweaked his hamstring on the descent on his 2nd squat, it was kinda...crooked out of the rack.
benched fine, only did two pulls. you could see his hamstring spasm-ing as he went down to the bar.
Here are the numbers that I found posted:
Squat
825 Good
854 Miss (Slight hamstring injury)
Passed 3rd
Bench
551 Good
584 Good
606 Good
Deadlift
727 good for 2150
793 good for 2221
Passed 3rd
2221 total! Which is also potentially a world record, beating Konstantin Konstantinovs' total of 2217.

A little issue with powerlifting is the multitude of federations and rules...
What I like to look at is the all-time #s using comparable equipment. In this case, Stan lifts raw with just a belt and knee wraps. So, the number for him was Jon Cole's all-time total of 2,250 lbs.
Awesome show of raw strength!
Simply the BEST raw lifter today, we should all be proud of this fella. Big ups Stan!
Semper Fi
Another guy who I know put together a 1,983 RAW total at the same meet with an 804 (no knee wraps), 451, 728. All of the lifts looked relatively easy, but he is substantially heavier than Stan... about 340 lbs. His name is Dan Harrison, could be someone to keep an eye out in the future if he sticks with Powerlifting. He just switched over from Strongman about a year ago.

Dan is a really humble guy as well. Was a solid competitor Strongman and came close to winning his Pro Card on more than one occasion then decided to spend more time focusing on Powerlifting. Pretty sure that he is natural as well.
Anyway... back to Stan, I pulled some pictures off another site and figured others might be interested in seeing the photos from some of his lifts.
If anyone objects to having these up here (Stan) - I'll take them down.

Wow, that's a large #. Great Job
Just wondering what Marius Pudjinowski's(sp* totals would equal?

Completely amazing, hope he continues his run in powerlifting and possibly gets into geared as well as raw, Mark Bell is really doing great things out there!
That is comparing apples to oranges; Mariuz is a strongman not a powerlifter (although he could probably still post some huge numbers).
Bill Kazmaier is the most legendary powerlifter/strongman with world titles in both disciplines. The RAW/Single Ply numbers that he posted were simply amazing. In 1979, Kazmaier won the American powerlifting championship and the IPF world powerlifting championship. He won the IPF world championship again in 1983. In 1981, Kazmaier became the first person to bench 300kg. The 1981 event was the same competition in which he totaled 1,100 kg (2,425 lb). Best lifts= Squat-925Lbs (done without a suit) 661 lbs RAW bench press, and an 887Lbs. deadlift.
Zydrunas Savickas is another one who is accomplished in both disciplines but is much more focused on strongman. His lifts include a 425.5 kg (936lbs) squat, 285.5 kg (628 lbs) RAW bench press, and 407.5 Kg (896.5 lbs) deadlift along with a 1090 kg (2,398 lbs) total.
