Oh ok, I like Titan squat gear. I have boss briefs for comps and super centurion single ply for speed work. It's been about a year since I've had either of them on, lol.

Solid work man, awesome PR bro.
"Light Weight"
Best Meet: B/345 Sq/605 DL/655
Thanks Mark!
The briefs are the only 'gear' I've ever used. I can't imagine trying to hit depth in anything thicker and/or heavier. The experience gives me a better appreciation for geared lifting. I don't understand why some people hate geared lifting so damned much. It takes an incredible amount of training to get the best out of gear. Not to mention the need for a solid basis in strength.
The whole raw vs geared stuff is silly. Kind of reminds of the current 'birther' thing. It is a non-issue and only detracts from what is actually important - getting stronger and hitting PRs.
I would love to try a bench shirt, but I work out alone and trying to get into and out of a shirt without help is probably more trouble than its worth. The slingshot is good enough for me. I still have a lot of 'basic' strength gains I need to achieve too.
I agree, I think the raw vs gear situation is stupid. I like both and will continue to do both. Training alone in a bench shirt can get difficult. It would be hard to get it set just right. I'm still thinking about getting a slingshot or ram. I'm just being cheap right now.

Would that have anything to do with blowing up your knee? ;-)
Every time I watch the video of Vinny pressing 405 I am in awe. There is something very cool about pressing something heavy over your head. It is somehow cooler than a heavy squat, bench, or deadlift. I mean... that bar is over your head!
Too bad I didn't take up Olympic lifting when I was 6 years old.![]()
Tell me about it, watching Scott Weech doing a push press with 465lbs is crazy.

Wait until you heal up before you try this... If Scott irritates you too much with one of his awesome push presses, wait until he is almost locking out around 50% of his max. Run up to him and punch him in nuts. You'll want to move fast because that weight is coming down.
When Scott looks at you with that WTF face, you yell, "Whose yer Daddy!" as loud as possible. I guarantee you'll never see Scott ever press anything overhead while you're around.
Of course, you'll never be able to do anything more than accessory work while Scott is around. Revenge is best served cold after all.![]()

Warm-ups
Squats
BW x 50 - really don't see what the big deal is on bodyweight squats
Bar x 20 - added knee sleeves
175 x 5
210 x 5
270 x 5
315 x 5 - added belt
355 x 5 - tightened belt a notch, added knee wraps. Had a myocardial infarction on this set.
225 x 20 - warped the space/time continuum.
225 x 15 - done
BW = 205
355 was one of the hardest sets I've done in awhile. Following that up with a set of 20 was intense. My conditioning needs work. Left biceps hurts like an SOB after any type of intense gripping. Can't wait to put that behind me.
Nice session Tim!!!

Nice job! I wanna hit 315, period. It would really be nice to do it weighing around 185 lbs too.

115 x 5
145 x 5
175 x 5
185 x 5

245 x 5 - P.O.R.; added belt and wrist wraps. Finally have enough arch to where the belt interferes!
285 x 1 - slingshot & wrist wraps, ditched the belt
300 x 1 - 3 count at bottom; regular grip (don't feel comfortable with a suicide grip & slingshot)
315 x 1 - 3 count at bottom & 3 count at lockout
175 x 18 - close grip, no wraps, no slingshot
175 x 12
175 x 9
BOBR
155 x 15 x 3
BW = 205 - its getting too f'n hot to be carrying around this kind of weight.
Been feeling stiff and beat up. Both knees hurt, the right more than the left. Leg drive could have been better. Had a tough time with the heat this afternoon. Ninety-one degrees with lots and lots of humidity is rough.

I built a tack room for my wife this morning. It has been over a decade since I've swung a framing hammer for that long. Can still sink a 16 penny in three swings. One to set, two to sink.My wrist and elbows are plenty sore now. Contrast showers and ice will be tonight's entertainment.
Didn't feel like I had much in me this evening. Seriously contemplated missing the workout. Every joint in my body ached/aches. Figured I would hit my working sets and call it a day. Got started, hit a PR, finished strong.
Great job on the PR!!!!

Thank Brian! I am closing in on the elusive 225 military press. About 15 lbs away! Maybe in 3 months?
15lbs isn't much, just keep hitting them hard and focus on the reps and get work done.

Warm-ups
Squat
BW x a bunch - knee sleeves
Bar x 10
175 x 5
215 x 5
250 x 5
315 x 5 - belt & wrist wraps
355 x 3
395 x 1 - knee wraps; hardest part of this set was unracking the weight and walking it out. The squat was easier than expected. Relatively slow and controlled descent with good speed on the way up. Gripped the bar so hard I tweaked my left biceps. Maybe its just scar tissue breaking up? Shut it down there. No need to irritate or re-injure my left wing. Might be a PR. Can't remember if I've gone this heavy without briefs.
With squats I feel like the no accessory work guy. Gone before the bar gets cold.
BW = 205

Been dropping some weight in order to get my snoring under control. Sleep study results said I have severe obstructive sleep apnea. During my 5 hours sleep study, I spent over 15 minutes not breathing. Losing weight will help with the snoring, but even at 166 lbs I had problems with sleep apnea. I'll get a CPAP machine on Tuesday. Looking forward to getting some quality rest.
The past few days I've been having issues with cramping. Woke up last night with a cramp in my left calve. Not sure what the deal is. I'm drinking a ton of water. Time to aggressively stretch.![]()

Damn bro, that sucks. Hopefully losing the weight will help you out.
