Great work Nick, seriously awesome pulls. And I agree with Benni being the lead man solely now. Does Andy pull raw? One video I saw when he was pulling I think 1015 and missed it, it looked like he had a suit on but not sure.

Yep Benni is too good, full respect to Andy he was FIRST over 1000 and being the first is always the hardest as we see in history.

Nick, elighten me if you will sir, or Brian. Pulling off blocks, typically how high are the blocks and how far are you pulling the weight? Benefit of this movement to the dl?
Nick, get it man. I've neglected abs since forever, but that's just because I'm fat and make excuses. Here recently started training some abs at the end of my workouts, hopefully it'll pay off. I'm sure if I keep it up it will.

Auzzie, they are just super high rep pulldowns (usually we do them wide grip behind the head) sets of 50-350.
Tank (Brian Hopper squat king) named them and lots of guys are doing them now and love them, they are just to get the blood flowing and a good pump in those important pulling muscles.
40lb x 350 is my best high rep set and it hurt, I find they are helping my recovery a lot and are well worth the pain of sore biceps ha ha.
Tank, you will be back at it in no time.....people like you with strong will power heal faster than "normal" people I have seen it many times.........best of luck brother!!
Mark, you can pull off any height really depending on what you wish to work more but usually 2-6" blocks are done, I like 7.5" blocks against bands because you cant get ANY speed and Im pretty fast so it turns it into a pure strength test for me.
Still I think 2-6" is best, blocks help you work the top and build great back and grip strength as the legs are taken out of it the higher you go.
Most important they work, you will hear people say they dont carry-over well to pulls from the floor and I agree somewhat but the kick leg curls and back raises in the ass and most people simply can not pull heavy from the floor too often.

Awesome. I'll start incorporating these in to my arsenal. I do rack pulls already, are these going to really be any different? In my very limited experience and knowledge, they'd be about the same.

The feel of block pulls is better and closer to normal pulls, also the bar will not bang on the pins.
Rack pulls are still great and it does not make a huge difference but most like blocks better and almost all sumo pullers use blocks.

I am hating wide grip pull ups on the weighted assist machine, maybe peacocks would be a good alternative down the road..

Im not a beast at all, so many guys WAY better at lifting but I am proud of my mind and consider myself mentally strong and I not afraid of numbers which is key as you prob know.
Yeah peacocks are not going to pack on the muscle on their own but as a part of the big picture they are good for sure..........I plan on doing them all the time.

What a work-out! This was great, the close sumo SLDL was awesome, I get heaps out of a belt so I can now SLDL 5 plates easy.
The movement felt so natural its amazing, just felt great.
I am going to be pulling 3 times per week (2 SLDL and 1 heavy variation) so I will cut back a little on my assistance work and see how I go........you will also see a ton of ab work or should I say "core stability" work?
