Interesting what you're saying about the speed pulls from blocks. My weakness is breaking the weight from the floor, so it may be something I can use to help work on that.

Thanks John!! Yeah it was ok....pretty good but I hurt my left lat (re-hurt it) it has been playing up and I can't sleep with left arm up due to pain.
Thought is was sorted so I didn't mention it here but its a little worse now.

Thanks Gazzy!! Here are some things that helped me with the start which was my weakness for sure.....getting better each week.
    -Ab work
-So much air in your belly NOT chest your face is beet red
-Starting very tight and pulling slack out of bar at start BUT not wasting time down there
-Block pulls with and with-out belt
    -Back raises
    -Pulling with different stances
    -Aggression
-Telling your self the start is easy (you are fresher at the start than mid-shin and up arnt you?)

That should help bro, may have missed something but not too much.

Yup, all that weight that you are holding in your hands is pulling you down closer to the earth. I imagine that you will probably be about 5'6" by next year at this rate, haha.

    Nice work brotha!

BOOMMMMMM...that was fast Nick. You really put a new meaning to 'grip and rip'. Solid mate.

Thanks Garage Lifter!! You may be right lol........all good Im happy with my height......just gotta get stronger.

Thanks Tom!! Yeah not bad but I still think I have been faster in the past with 500.......I will be doing speed pulls of various kinds each week again mixing in deficits/floor/blocks with and with-out bands sumo and conventional.........speed should be FAST in 4 weeks....never takes long to get fast.

Thanks Tank!! Lots of fun........once my suit is fixed (looks like 8 days away) I will pull straps loose from floor with 550 to test speed like I said a few weeks back.

Thanks Bri!! This sport won't make you any taller lol.....strong is the new good looking.

Thanks Coke!! Ill keep trying bro, not really happy with where I am but the progress is good so just time for more work.

Thanks Justin!! Thats actually not grip and rip lol (looks that way).....I set the underhand first and pull the slack out of the bar then grip with overhand and pull.......works real well!
I can grip and rip with both hands at the same time super fast up to 550 but with 700+ I need to set the hands better so I practice my speed pulls as if it was a heavy pull now and the carryover is better........do the same with SLDL's etc.

Thanks Gazzy!! You'll be doing speed pulls with your old max by next year bro!

I am out of action upper body wise for a few days..........pulled my left lat pretty bad a week back and re did it again wuth the speed pulls on a bloody warm-up set.

Cant do abs or any upper body stuff and it's hard to sleep, shoulder has been getting pins and needles.

Feeling 30% better now but will need 3-4 days of no weight in the hands..........time to smash those leg presses!!

Again thanks for the comments I always like posting videos and watching you guys............I learn from the newer gys all the way to the pros so thanks for the time you put into your logs gentlemen!!

Mate if you can Get your hands on some diclofenic it works pretty well. Otherwise theonly thing is rest. I have pulled my lower lats and intercostals more times than I can remember now. Sucks but generally heals faster than you'd expect.
    Good luck mate.

By the way I do the same as you with setting left hand first. Still gripping and rippin in my book. What I really meant was the little amount of time spent fucking around downat the bar

Benni is freakishly fast with 800, watching his warm ups and training video is insane.

That is hilarious. Good early morning read for me. However it's the opposite for me, at 6'1, my wife is like 5'2, don't piss her off.

Ha ha you guys are good at cheering people up.........back is actually feeling better though!

Mark it's the best here.........everyone knows it... 95% of people live on the coast so if you look at the map just check out the east coast and thats where nearly all of us live lol.........near the beautiful ocean!
We have more beaches here than anywhere in the world, I live 12 mins from Bondi beach and Tammarama beach etc.

BC that is funny.........cooch shot ha ha!

I was 177cm but now Im 176 (5'9.29").............Tank I KNEW your arms were long for your height.

Funny thing Justin people always describe me as the stocky guy but I never really feel like that until Im standing side on in our lift (mirror in lift) with other people and am twice as thick as my friends that dont play sport or lift.

Maybe we can start a club for lifters under 5'10"............compare numbers with the overs

Awesome sport, awesome bunch of blokes!!!!!! Thanks for the support.

The heck with your under 5'10 club, I wanna be grandfathered in. Alright I'll fly over, BUT I'm not getting in the water...all I need is a great white taking my leg off.
