Comparasion on training with the Vulcan vs the Captains of crush grippers:
Vulcan is better for-
Rep work due to it not twisting in your hand
Building the start and middle portion of squeeze
Learning to set the gripper
High volume work due to no knurling (need chalk)
Making smaller jumps in tension
Thumb training using attachments
C.O.C better for-
Hardening the skin, medium knurling
Building of the close portion of the squeeze
Over crush work
Overall as a tool the Vulcan is superior, the Captains are still awesome.
4km walk with my lady.
Grippers again, 2 a days have paid off so why not.

EDIT: if you need to toughen up the fingers try inverted full range reps on the grippers, it will thicken the skin quick (mainly index). Normal way full range will do the same to pinky.

I have grown a lot of respect for grip athletes, if you are soft you will not have a good grip period.

Vulcan V2......great tool in the strength game.
If you know grippers you can see how wide the handles are apart.......the thing is a beast and weighs about 4lb.

Inverted means holding the gripper upside down. Much harder. Very good for first 2 fingers and pretty fun.

Do you still do any real lifting? Lol. I have no idea what's good on those gripper things but they are just not interesting to me. Rack pulls and shrugs looked good from last week.
