Very excited to see Big Tone at Last Man Standing meet this weekend. I believe he's going to SUPRIZE himself. It wasn't the best training cycles due to shirt issues and handoff guys switching around , but I have seen him before over come these types of issues. He always steps his game up on the platform!
Also have another training partner(jay jay) hit a full raw meet. His numbers are getting better and better every week! Should be a great meet for him!
I am 4 weeks out from injury. Pain isn't bad on daily bases. Shoulder hurts day after squatting and all strength and comfort is gone on bench. Very unbalanced! That being said I am going to compete raw again in November. Not sure which meet yet I have 2 choices it's between Rps nov 3 or iron sport nov 10. Crew will help me decide. Oh well, it's a day to day struggle mostly on the mental side. Trying to stay positive.

A little update:
I'm still alive, still training, sort of! Planning on doing a meet early nov.
Whether I token bench or not! It will be another raw meet!
Benching: I starter back and I'm taking it extremely slow. Starting with 135 for 4sets of 10-15 and adding 10lbs every week! Sounds like nothing but sad thing is 3 weeks ago I only hit 135 for 6 reps! So whatever it is it is healing!
Squatting: well it's going well except for my back acting up again! I wouldn't know how to act if I wasn't in pain all the time!
Deadlift: it's at it's usual! It's ok when back can handle it.
My access days are full of high rep bodybuilding stuff mostly used for blood flow and in hopes to strengthen tendons!
Body weight: haha crept back up to 272lbs

Ok another update: mostly for me to look back on if I ever get back to where I was or maybe it will help someone else in my shoes one day who tears a pec but surgery isn't an option.
Last night was 8 weeks since tear. It has really been a mental struggle but I'm making progress. Sticking with my original plan of high reps but at end adding couple sets of heavier weight to work the muscle differently. Last week I jumped my weight up a couple of weeks so maybe I'm ahead of schedule who knows. It went like this.
Barx15
95x8
135x8
195x8/8/10
235x2
245x2
Now I felt the pec in a way that I havent felt since tear so although the weights didn't feel heavy I was hesitant to push more. Just did my usual access.
My back has been issue the last couple of weeks. My of problem is occurring durning sleep but may have figured it out some last night
Squat I have hit a few prs up until last week of 605x5reps and 645x3 may have had a 4th but didn't push back. Need to get back to pulling and more access stuff on Saturdays.

On a side note. If anyone has stalled in training or doesn't think they are making the gains they should be making they should definitely give Tone Barbaccio's program a run. He has done wonders for my raw strength over the past year and a half. Before injury his program took my touch and go bench from 465 to 525, and my raw squat for
620 to 705. I'm a stubborn ass so I haven't used his pull but I maybe switching to that soon. Tone is currently working with a dozen guys of all levels from novice, to his own training. Check him out for sure if your training needs a jump start. Go to his journal and hit him(he has a direct google address at bottom of his signature.

I agree 100%, I've been working with Tone since the beginning of the year. His programing has done wonders for my total and I hope to continue to work with him so I can accomplish my goals. It doesn't matter if your a raw or geared lifter, Tone will help you hit some PR's!!!

Update: 10 weeks post injury
Mentally I am in a great place right now. I have learned alittle about myself, training and things I need to change.
Physically I'm only dealing with lower back issue, but not nearly as intense as a few weeks ago. My chest/shoulder tear is pretty much pain free. Some stiffness or soreness after training but nothing major.
10 weeks out from meet and I have crazy thoughts of a pr total.
Recently in training I hit a 715 squat (few inches high) but nothing I can't clean up!
And not so exciting to anyone but me but I hit a 355 bench yesterday. Which is huge mentally for me cause when I said I was going to do a meet no matter what I thought I would be lucky to hit a 300 bench. It was the first time since injury i struggled on a rep which mentally helps a ton.
Access days have been fun more high rep stuff, loving the way I feel lately. My weight is 268 but I feel it's a tighter 270 then I have been.
Probably Deload this week, watch the guys from our crew hit some big prs at meet this weekend and the. Back to business. Next week

Bonega. Mi povas disŝiri ĝin tuj.
Saturday I'll be 7 weeks out! Trying to stay positive just it's always one thing after another! No matter what I'm going to do this meet then I have plans of a 3-4 week Deload! Back is ok not bad at all but the discomfort as traveled to right hip! I know seems like all I do is complain! I'm going to give it my all this last 6 training weeks. My pec is handling everything that I have thrown at it! So that is a huge plus! And I'm getting dead back on track now, so I will just go and give it my all!
The jersey iron team has made huge gains! We really have picked up an incredible group of people this year. All contribute and bring something different to crew! I'm working hard so I don't get left behind!

Thx BC!
5 weeks from saturday is my raw meet. This weekend will be a deload on squat and pull.
Last 3 week wave had some good things happen, somethings that weren't good. Those i can learn more from than the things that went well. The bench is going to take some time to build now, the gains aren't going to be as big or quick now! The healing is still going well!I have to say no major set backs 14 weeks after tear.
The squat has become my lift. recently tripled 655 raw w/knee sleeves. Also I'm grabbing some confidence in the dead. We may have learned the ques i need to use my hips and glutes more and not just use my lower back. Excited to start the last 3 week wave but the 4th week deload has really helped me this cycle and will be a permanent staple in my training.
Looking forward to the big guys meet(Tone Barbaccio). He should hit some big prs and I expect him to be rejuvenated after this meet and want a whole lot more!

Get back in this journal and start updating. You contribute alot to helping our guys and this log will help others outside our group. Let people know how you rehabbed so fast! Let them understand what it took to get back under the bench after that tear! Let them know you're not fucking done! You motivate me every day. No reason you can't keep this journal up just because you don't want to be seen benching 355 3-months after a tear!
Ok Big Tone- I start my final 3 week wave before meet. So i'll start back in my journal tomorrow. Tomorrow will be the 15th week since my injury occured. I have 85%-315x3x5sets. shouldn't be any issue since last week my last set was 315x5. Pec has been pretty much pain free-but now i'm a close grip bencher and come back!
