1) Where should I stay ? What area ? Somewhere cheap, but lively and where Im not gonna get stabbed to death.
**You are probably going to want to stay on the strip, Try to get as near to cesars as possible since it is basically in the new center of the strip (lots of people will argue this point I'm sure) The rule is the cheesier the hotel the cheeper it is. for super low rates look at Excalibur, moderate rates can be found at the Aladdin and maybe Treasure Island. Since it's August good rates should be easy to find. Check out the Casino's web sites for all the deals.
2) Where should I eat ? Come on ..... name some good places to eat nice food .... and lots of it.
**Think Buffets. One of the Best is at Bellagio, but most any of the new casinos have great buffets. Also try out the resturants since these days a buffet can be just as expensive as an A la carte place. Nectar at Bellagio is one of my favorites.
3) Where should I buy clothes ? I want some cheap places to shop and get some nice designer closes ... like Gucci and Tommi etc etc. Clothes Outlets ?
** Believe it or not deals can be found at The Forum Shopps in Cesars Palace. I also hear the shopping at Aladdin is good.
4) What nightclubs should I go to ??? Where all the hot chicks go ??
Rum Jungle in Mandalay Bay, Voodoo at the Rio, V bar in the Venetian, and Light is supposed to be the new swanky place to go in the Bellagio. All of these are velvet rope clubs so plan on tipping the doorman or since it isn't the weekend you might be able to slip in.
5) Lap Dancing clubs ?? OK 5 guys wanna see some girls strip ... where's the top clubs at ?
**I went with the fam. so I have no clue, but just walk down the street and someone will hand you an add for a topless place
6) Sight seeing stuff ?? What should I look at ??
**The casinos are the sights. Try not to get caught at just one place. Keep moving or you'll never see them all. If you want to take in a show try either of the cirque de soleil shows "o" or "mystere". EFX is good. For a funkier show try "Blue man group" or "DeLargardia"
7) General stuff ? Anything else ya suggest ?
Your first time to Vegas shouldn't be about parking at a table and gambling all day and night. Go out and see the sites. The town is open 24-7 so gamble when there is nothing else to see or do (i.e. during the heat of the day or late late night) No need for a car just walk the strip. Besure to see at least 1 fountain show at the Bellagio, the pirate invasion at Treasure Island, and atleast walk through the Venetian.

I was a big fan of Circus Circus when I was there, but I was 10.
You should stay somewhere on the main strip. I stayed at the Luxor for the Olympia, in the south tour. The room had two king size beds and an enormous bathroom. I was so amused because there was a phone by the shitter, so every time I had to use the shitter I called up someone different on the phone...LOL.Originally posted by YatesNightBlade

Expect to pay anywhere from $40-$60 each for wednesday and thursday night. If you stay friday night they will jack up the room fee about $30 or $40 a night.
2) Where should I eat ? Come on ..... name some good places to eat nice food .... and lots of it.
You should eat at any of the large casinos as they have wonderful buffets. Generally the buffet will have pretty much everything, and costs about $7-$10 depending on what time of day you go. They also have sandwich shops, and small restaraunts inside the casinos as well.
When I was there in october we ate at Emeralds Steak House one night, we had our own private kitchen table (actually a glass room back in the kitchenso you could watch everyone prepare the food) table for 8 people and the bill came out to $1400 plus tip.
If you walk through the Mandalay Bay they have sort of a mini mall in there. There are several mini malls inside a few of the hotels/casinos but am not too farmiliar with them. Obviously there is also a rahter nice sized mall about 10 mins from the strip. I remember that because we went to a Hooters that was next to the mall...LOL.3) Where should I buy clothes ? The only night clubs I have attended while in Vegas were Club RA (inside the luxor), and one called either The Beach or Beaches (cannot remember).4) What nightclubs should I go to ??? Where all the hot chicks go ??
At club RA the cover charge was $20. Free for guests that are staying at the hotel, along with no wait in line for hotel guests. The club itself was large, and kind of dark. We sat inside the VIP section but had to purchase 2 bottles of crystal (is that how you spell it?). Dress code wasnt bad. Most people were dressed up rather nice, but they also let gentlemen in wearing a nice pair of jeans and a nice collared or button up shirt that is tucked in with a belt. No sneakers, and no hats. They have different themes each night. The night I went it was house/trance music.
The Beach was a more relaxed club with people wearing casual clothes, jeans, t shirts, muscle shirts, and so on. Cover was $10. There were far more women that were approachable at this club compared to Club RA at the Luxor. They also had tubgirls all over the place so you were never without a beer. They also had some drink specials. This club was more of a dance club/meeting women club compared to the snotty atmosphere at Club RA.
Now to be honest, I never visited a strip joint while in vegas...but was rather tempted. I have heard from taxi drivers and such that there is one place called The Olympic Gardens that has some very gorgeous women dancing there. I couldnt begin to guess what teh cover charge or average cost of a drink is there. And I believe most of them are totally nude, if I am not mistaken.5) Lap Dancing clubs ?? OK 5 guys wanna see some girls strip ... where's the top clubs at ?
Well definitely take some time and walk the strip in front of the hotels. Make sure you have water with you because you will be there during a very very warm part of the year. Also I recommend you bring a camera, there are some cool photo opportunities along the strip. Also if you are into rides (scary type) then make sure you go to the Stratosphere. They have a ride at the very top called 'The BigShot'. Basically you sit in a seat, and all of a sudden you are thrust hundreds of feet in the air along this very tall tower, you hand weightless for a few seconds, then fall back donw. Then it does it over again, and then the ride is over. If you are afraid of heights, definitely do not do this. They also have a roller coaster that rides around the outside of the building at the very top of the building. I believe the rides cost $10 a piece.6) Sight seeing stuff ?? What should I look at ??
Have fun and definitely call me when you go to vegas. I could fly up and meet you. I am not sure if you will be with friends, but if not then I could show you around a little. Before you leave email me and I will give you my phone # so you can call me, just get a cheap calling card from a Circle K or some convenient store like that.7) General stuff ? Anything else ya suggest ?
