Getting Dumbbells Up For DB Press?

For the Dumbbell Press, how to do you get those heavy dumbbells ready to be DB Pressed? I've been bringing them up on to my quads and then sort of rolling back on to the bench while bringing my quads up with the dumbbells on them.

    Are there any easier ways?

Yeah, when I do them I use 150's. I get one to a shoulder using both hands and then have someone hand me the other.

    Supplements I currently take: Nitrean , BCAA , Creatine 500 , Multi-Plus , Fish Oil

I pick up one DB while I am standing and then sit down and row the other one into my lap. From there I try to keep the DB's as far down my legs as possible (close to my knees). You have to be aggressive when you lay back and kick them into position but with a little bit of practice you should be able to find an efficient way to get the weights into position.

Some gyms have DB racks where you can lift them off like you would a barbell, but they are fairly uncommon.

I do exactly what you're saying and it works fine. Another option is PowerHooks but you'll probably have to get your own because 99% of gyms won't have them.

I use the same approach as the OP and haven't had a problem using 100 lbs DBs.

My bigger problem is seated OHP with DBs. It's really tough for me to get 75+ lbs DBs into position especially on my 3rd set. Once I have them up I don't have a problem lifting the weight though. So it's annoying that getting set up is limiting my progress.

Try cleaning them off the floor or from the hang to your shoulders before you sit down. Then just be real careful and controlled sitting down.

This is what I do for OH DB pressing. If it is incline or flat I usually just kick them up and roll back.

TK power hooks always looked cool... might be worth a try.
