i'm just curious if i'm not alone in consistently neglecting a certain body part even though i have it in my routine.
i usually tend to neglect my lower back and abs cause i get lazy at that point in the workout
i also find it very difficult to come up with a 4day a week program that covers everything
what about anyone else?

no, but many people neglect direct calf work.
Btw, how do you have trouble neglecting your lower back? Do you do deads?
for lower back i only do the thing where your head faces down, your feet are locked in and your body is at an upward angle. then you bend down and up again. can't remember what its called.
no, i don't do dead lifts as i really don't like the feeling of it. i've tried them a few times with very little weight and am always afraid of screwing my back up. it must be a personal thing as i see lots of guys lifting really heavy at the gym.

You do low back extensions instead of deads?? I do low back extenstions to warm up the lower back for deads and truthfully I feel because I do deads my back is extremely strong and durable.
to the OP, I'd have to say I neglect my chest probably the most. Now I do pushups, DB bench press, flys, and all types of stablization for my chest but I dont do BB bench press. Now with squats and deadlifts I use the BB and try and go as heavy as possible while keeping very strict form and depth. The reason I do not focus my chest workouts around BB bench press is because I need my upper body especially my front side to be less massive in comparison to the rest of my body. Helps me with skating technique and speed on the ice, I'm also a hell of alot more explosive since I began training like this.

Remember that "neglect" is a relative term and depends on the person's goals. I don't do a ton of bicep work, but I'm a powerlifter, so biceps don't have a direct impact on my performance. I do enough to keep my arms and elbows healthy, so I don't see them as "neglected". If I were a competitive bodybuilder my current training would neglect my biceps.
To me a neglected bodypart is an area you should be working for your chosen endeavor, but you aren't doing enough for.
Nope, I don't neglect any body part.![]()
(Hand slaps head) What? I love the feeling of picking up heavy ass weights off the floor. Look up, keep that ass down, and scrape those shins, and you'll never have to worrie about screwing up your back.
If I had to choose one, I would think my biceps get the least direct attention. I have faith in the squat to keep theme on their way up.

I neglect my abs and I don't do cardio.

Yeah no direct ab work here, they get hit enough indirectly and my core is solid. I'm also naturally lean/have low body fat so they're usually there or under a little bit of fat when bulking but doesn't take too much effort to lose a few % in the bf department when I decide to cut.
My profile picture is about 5 years old, I'll get around to taking some progress pics eventually.
My shoulders do. I struggle to gain shoulder size, and have not been able to figure out anything that works. Everything else is growing fine, but my shoulders refuse to grow. I lost motivation because of it. I still train them, but it's not the same as working anything else. Big shoulders are what I see differentiate people, and it aggravates me that I cannot get them to grow. I have broad shoulders, but they are not very meaty.

In the past I have ignored at times specific grip and calf work. Now, I work everything though. In the spring and summer I do a lot more cardio too. In the winter it is hard to get motivated too in below freezing weather.
Although sometimes I'd like to think I don't have one, I neglect my heart.
I always go for the hot golden girls, but should really settle down with a nice one instead.
Full body workout here.
I just love the burning feeling of a direct calves workout <3
I've typically had the same problem, but recently stopped doing front and lateral raises...just relying in heavy military press, incline bench, and heavy upright rows, and they've been growing quite well. I actually think farmer's walks lend a hand also for some reason.

Biceps
I don't really neglect any body part. I don't do direct calf work or direct ab work and maybe once a month, I'll do some curls.
Give chalk a chance.

*Joke answer: My Legs because I run a lot*
I neglect deltoids..just because I feel they get worked every day.

I neglect abs, but not because I dislike doing them, but because of time constraints. I need to be better about that though, because heavy squats and deadlifts leave my back and hamstrings wrecked when my abs aren't up to strength. Does anyone else notice that?
