Cleaning Canvas Suit

Hi folks,

I have a meet coming up this weekend and my Leviathan looks and smells like a herd of wild donkeys has gone to town on it.

I have washed poly equipment plenty of times with Titan Power wash but am wondering are there any special precautions that you would have to take with a canvas/poly hybrid like the leviathan.

dont wash. just use fabreeze.

Don't wash it. It can change the feel/pop of the suit. Febreeze as Rich suggested. Hang it up and let it air out, that might help as well. I've also heard of people running gear through the dryer (NO HEAT, just air) with a few fabric softener sheets just to get the funk out of it.

Why would anyone wash gear?

I wouldn't wash it for 2 reasons

1) it'll mess with the suit... I dyed a canvas once and it never felt the same afterwards.....

2) the mold on it gives a good allusion of depth and the stink will keep anyone from getting a good close look in case you accidentally cut one high

Thanks guys I'll give it an air out today, should take some of the stink off it for saturday!

Throw it in the dryer with a couple dryer sheets. Worked for me. Dont wet it though!
