Has anyone gotten any info/experience on the adverse effects of doing block deadlifts with moderate weight [250+lbs]?
I've tried googling the exercise, but the most I've gotten on most websites is "is great to use to improve ROM for deadlifting in competition."
What are you talking about?
I've done platform DL, very humbling exercise. I've never had any problems, but I only stand on a 21/2inch platform. I think if you stood on a higher platform you could run into some problems.

The guys I work out with use a 4-4.5 inch block. The bar is just barely high enough to get your feet under.
I was just wondering, because one of my friends had mentioned that block DLs could attribute or cause injuries in those two regions easier than a flat DL would. I just wanted to see if anyone had any knowledge of it.
I got the idea from a past issue of PLUSA; I think the article was publish within the last year or the last 18 months.
