hey guys.... im kindof worried im going to get shorter as my squat weight increases, so i was wondering if there are any techniques for minimizing this or for easily stretching your spin out again to its full length. Thanx!

aight aight but couple questions... what is reverse hyper, how would i stretch my hamstrings and whats an inversion table and how do i use it. so will these techniques give me back all my height or will i lose some height permanently?

No one's ever got permanently shorter from doing squats.

How much are you squatting, man? I used to be able to squat 405 parallel and I never saw any height issues. Even with lighter weights and more reps, nothing. I feel that is a common myth that people into. Wear a weight belt. PLZ.
Stretch your hamstrings as usual. You know the drill. Make sure you get a full leg stretch after squatting, especially your glutes. People forget to stretch those after doing a hard squat day. Get it.

Squatting on a Smith Machine will make you shorter
Use a barbell and you'll get taller, grow a hairy chest, and have have huge arms from beating away all the women who will want you.

yea yea yea squating on the smith machine is trash and whatnot.... can we stop with that **** for a minute? Thanx. I get a great workout on the smith in regards to my legs as i can barely stand the next couple days after a good smith machine squat session.

Range of motion is terrible on a smith machine. Do 315 free and feel the astronomical difference. Go all the way down, there's nothing like a guy that brags about his lifts when he only does them a quarter of the way.
Do it free and you will have to force perfect posture. A lot of people forget basic absolutes in lifting form when they resort to the machines n what not. Remember, in Soviet Russia, machine control you, especially if that machine is called Smith.

yea the only problem with your point is that i never have bragged about my squatting abilities. the problem is that i only have access to snap fitnesses around my house which only supply smith machines for bench and squats.

why such the hostility dude? every post you have made has had some hostile response. are these guys hurting your feelings or something? Everything you have posted has been answered pretty easily by using the search function.
and honestly how do you expect people to reply when you ask a question "will squats make you shorter"? then proceed to tell them you squat on a smith machine.
