Short guys.. how much do you weigh?

I'm 5'4", 24 years old and currently weigh about 155lbs.

Before I joined this site, I was about 120lbs, and am really happy with my results. Think I'm getting too addicted to bulking and want to keep gaining and gaining and gaining, but feel like maybe ~145lbs is a good sweet spot for me. I'm just curious to see if there are any other short guys around my height and how much you weigh.

When I first joined, my goal was to be at about ~170 after I cut.. so I'd probably have to bulk to ~180 then cut. Been hovering between 155-160 and feel like I may have shot too high. Guess it's good, though, since I won't have to bulk for another 20lbs (definitely is getting harder to bulk the further I'm getting. The first 15lbs were fairly easy.. probably because I was very skinny to begin with).

I am around 5'8 and weighed in this morning at 233 lbs.

When I started training I was 150-155 lbs and my heaviest was in the low 240's.

5'7" and about 150-155 here. Used to be 170 and enjoyed it, but the new job has me working 10-12 hours a day and I don't have time to eat as much.

Travis, i don't know how you carry that much weight around at your height. 270 is massive. no matter how much cardio i did at around 240, i just did not feel good and in shape. i would get winded walking up a flight of stairs.

I'm sure everyone carries it differently. I've been as high as 250 and got winded just having conversations (seriously). But at 230 its so much easier. although if i had some sick lifting/comp goals to go after, I'd put the weight back on no though to it.

yeah, some people's structure will allow that type of weight gain. i am not one of them!

I guess you get used to it maybe?

I don't know. I definitely had to train on the prowler, tire flips and sled pulls a ton to keep myself in the condition I wanted to be in.

Last time I had my BF taken (month or so ago) I was right at 14% which is just about where I want to be. Much leaner and it begins to really effect my recovery, much heavier and it just doesn't help my strength.

At 270, it was a bit much. It's amazing how much 15lbs makes a difference, but I couldn't sleep super well, I couldn't train as long because I got tired out faster and I didn't like the way I looked.

Yeah usually you're either considered tall or short

Nobody really says they are average height.

Same here. I never get called short. I think from 5'9 to 6'0 is average and anything more is getting tall.

I'm about 195 right now trying to get to 210.

that's weird , i hear people use the phrase "average height" all the time.

not to switch gears, but do any tall bbers, like 6'1 and up, ever wish they were shorter because shorter bbers seems to fill out and look more impressive?

The average American white male is 5'10. So yea 5'9-6'0 is pretty average.

I'm about 5'10... I've been all over the map as far as weight goes in the last 7 years.

From 205 to 330 and then back and forth at various times. When I was 330 pounds I had to help dig a 80 foot long ditch that was one foot deep using a pick and then dig a post hole 3 feet in the ground after. I was able to do it but was shot afterwards I mean grade A done for the day. Took around 3 hours.

About 2 years ago I was down as low as 255 and I felt really good at that weight, I could do cardio reasonably well... I could work all day then hit the gym and not feel like i was going to have a heart attack. I felt pretty good at that weight and looked pretty good... not cut but didnt look like a colossal fat ass either.

Its when I start getting up around 275 that it starts to really slow me down and I felt like a slug at 330.... I didn't move anywhere with a whole lot of haste.

My sweet spot is right around 240-250.. but I guess I do have a very wide/thick body structure.

I'm between 6'1 and 6'2 and although it's become apparent that shorter guys get that filled out look much faster I wouldn't want to be shorter. I like the height I am.

If I cared much about strength to weight ratio I'd envy the shorter lifters in that respect because they seem too have an easier time obtaining a good ratio, but I don't care about strength to weight ratio at all to be honest.
