    Jammed Finger

    Hey all-

    Have any of you ever competed and or trained with a jammed finger? I messed it up last night. I am less thrn 3 weeks out of the meet and had this happen. Not sure if i should push through or what?

    what have you guys done in the past?

    Provided you didn't break anything, you should be fine by the time the meet comes around. Since you are less than 3 weeks out, you should be tapering down the training anyway. Work around it as best you can for whatever training you have left and then go to the meet.

    It is def not broken. It is swelled up pretty good though. I wanted to get one more shirt workout.Try in a few days.

    Keep training this close. Ice it. Take ibuprofen and use biofreeze to help with the swelling and pain. If it's not broken and just jammed it's only pain. You won't damage it any worse. I played in dozens of football games with jammed fingers. Still got em' all and they still work! Good luck!
