OK, I know that smoking affects my energy levels, my strength, my O2 intake, causes cancer, emphysema, etc, etc, etc so I don't need to be told all of that.
Has anyone here stopped smoking during a cutting phase? If so, what did it do to you (quiting) as far as your workout and appearance goes?
Now, I'm going to go smoke a cigarette and I'll check for answers when I get back![]()
Now in pain, only working out the walking sticks.
I quite smoking a while back when I was inactive and I gained a lot of weight...then I started up again and got a bit more active and dropped most of the weight.
Since then I quit in early november of last year while being much more active and somewhat watching what I eat and haven't actually noticed any detrimental effects as far as weight goes. It may have been easier to cut while still smoking but I know that the benefits of not smoking are great. It is like night and day and as long as you control your eating and continue to workout quitting won't do much to you weight wise...
Good luck with it...I think I have a thread from long ago on it in the general health forum if you wanted to read up on anything I did.

Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey:
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
Is there anything more beautiful than a beautiful, beautiful flamingo, flying across in front of a beautiful sunset? And he's carrying a beautiful rose in his beak, and also he's carrying a very beautiful painting with his feet. And also, you're drunk.
