My suggestion would be mini bands, monster mini bands and light bands. After that I would go average and then strong band

On your training partner: sometimes you just have to lone wolf it. For years I've been with out a training partner and have done well. Don't let the energy of others dictate how you want to preform. Nice row PR. Get up to 20!

Add wrist wraps to your list. A good pair is only $15. I use mine all the time. My right wrist bothers me benching heavy, but wrapping it tight fixes it. I'm also pretty sure they add at least 10lbs to my bench. At least.

Cheers Rob! Yeah, training isn't a priority for him, tbh. Only started training with a partner for the last three months or so and he's not been there for half the sessions, haha.

And I could probably manage 20 reps with 60kg, but 80 would be a hell of a mission; challenge accepted, gimme a few weeks lol.

Already on my list, bro!! My left wrist still aches a bit from where I tweaked it, so definitely getting me some wrist wraps

    10x60(132)

    ----------
    Summary:

Pretty good day today. Shoulder held up okay, so did wrist.

Last set of BBB was a nightmare - needed several breaths between each of the last three reps.

Hammered the pullups today: couldn't handle more than a triple at any one time, but kept going back at it and doing singles afterwards. Really want to get better at them.

Agreed but with one exception, the bench press (or all pressing movements, including close grips, shoulder presses) - these require spots during heavy sets.

If you can find a good partner on bench days, you've got it made...these require partnerships of sorts imo, no great headway can be made otherwise on those type movements. You basically can man up and make it through solo on other movements.

Liking the training Gaz, and Thanks for the support.

Making good progress. Got to have that motivation to nail it when the TP doesn't come. I have a TP for the first time in a while (have always had guys for spots but no one training with me) it should be helpful but definitely can soldier on without it if you have someone there for a spot.

Keep it ticking, you enjoying the 531 program? Feel like you are making progress?

    Thanks Hayden.

I'm enjoying the program, but progress is difficult to measure.

I feel as though I've lost some max strength, because I've not been working the heavy singles.

But at the same time, I feel like I've increased my work capacity a lot, which I'm sure will help me in the long run.

Cheers guys, business being taken care of.

Did a huge food shop today, getting back on the training as of Monday.

Should be able to hit it hard after a week's rest. Will be eating hard all weekend to try to carb up ready for the training.

First Day Back after a Week Off

    Squats:

    10x40(88)
    5x60(132)
    5x80(176)
    5x100(220)
    5x115(253)
    5x130(286)

    BBB Squats:

    10x77.5(170)
    10x77.5(170)
    10x77.5(170)

    Hamstring Curls:

    10x25(55)
    10x25(55)

    ----------
    Summary:

Last week was deload week, but did no training at all, so feeling it today.

Made the mistake of going in too soon after a big breakfast, so felt pretty sick at the end of each of the BBB sets. Called it at three and did some leg curls rather than SLDLs.

    Strength was there, though.

Looking forward to bench on weds.

Still not been down to Pullum Sports yet - car is in for its annual check up tomorrow; depending on how it fares I might scrap it and get another. Has 200k miles on it.

Soon as car situation is concrete, hello slingshot and bands.
