Just went out for a run.
Very slow to break in new running shoes and to get feet and calves used to the road again, seeing as I've not ran so much as a mile since this time last year!
2.2miles in 30:07.
On the way out was entirely uphill, so was a lot quicker coming back.
I expect that after a coupla weeks I'll be running that distance in about 20mins or less, as I used to be able to run 1.5miles in about 10mins when I was in the TA (Territorial Army).
Then again, I'm carrying ~40lbs more than I used to...
Hopefully going to go for a swim on Saturday.

Summary:
First time doing Standing Press in ages. Keep saying it, but I really to be more consistent with it, even though it falls on a weekend, cos I really love the movement.
Also, I suck at swimming. Used to be pretty decent, but have lost my groove completely; coughing and spluttering all over the place with front crawl, so ended up changing to breaststroke which is easy but takes twice as long. Was aiming for 500m, but called it at half that because I was getting in people's way, lol.
Need to spend more time in the pool. Not really a hassle; it's about 200 yards from my house.

Bike ride in the scorching sunshine today!
15 miles 1hr 13mins.
First 7.5miles were a mix of uphills and downhills, did it in 34mins. Avg about 15mph.
Next 2.5miles were uphill and killed me off. Took me 20mins to do them.
Then the last 5 miles flew by, averaging about 20mph as it was mostly flat or slightly downhill.
Really enjoyed the ride today, though it was pretty thirsty, tiring work. Lots of other cyclists and horses out on the roads today, taking advantage of the break in the rain.

Another run today.
Same course, 2.2miles. 28mins 09secs.
Shaved 1min 58secs off in a week
Not bad considering it's a lot hotter out there today. 30degrees in my village atm, (86f for your foreign types) which isn't bad for our rainy little island lol.
Main problem with the running today was lower back pump. That may have something to do with the squatting yesterday.
Edit: Just went out in the car to the shops - 37deg, 99f in the car, lol!
