Probably a dumb question but............
Up to now I have never had my BF measured. I was thinking of getting one of those scales that measure weight and BF and was wondering if they are reliable.

It's made by Tanita. You can find them at tanita.com
I don't think that they're very accurate.

We tend to think of Sisyphus as a tragic hero, condemned by the gods to shoulder his rock sweatily up the mountain, and again up the mountain, forever. The truth is that Sisyphus is in love with the rock. He cherishes every roughness and every ounce of it. He talks to it, sings to it. It has become the mysterious Other. He even dreams of it as he sleepwalks upward. Life is unimaginable without it, looming always above him like a huge gray moon. He doesn’t realize that at any moment he is permitted to step aside, let the rock hurtle to the bottom, and go home.

tanita scales? boycot them i say. inaccurate as **** overpriced etc etc **** em
My parents have one of those..it says my bodyfat is 20%...
A tanita scale measured me at 18% BF as "athlete" and 28% BF as "non athlete"
2 different people at the gym gave me pinch tests and measured me at 23% then 28% and then the EST hand held fat tester measured me at 21%.
Now I just measure myself and as long as my stomach is getting smaller, I assume I'm losing body fat.
Now in pain, only working out the walking sticks.
the scale tells you the following:
1. your weight
2. whether you have lost fat (compared to previous measurements)
nothing else. the choice is yours.
All weights in kilograms in my posts. 1 kg = 2,2 lbs
