I was very interested in Jay Wainwright's article "Backside of Arm" and I'm going to give it a go but, being reasonably new to this, I wondered if someone could explain to me what a Seated Half Press is?
Many thanks,
Mac

I've just completed the 1st (am) session of this workout and for the Seated Half Press I did what was effectively a Tricep Extension on the Smith Machine whilst on an incline bench... was this right?
I finished off with some extreme facial stretches... looking forward to the pm session!

It looks like the seated half press should be done in a rack with the pins set high. It also says to rest the bar on the pins between reps, so that's probably to take the rebound out of the movement. I've never done the exercise before but I have done benching off the pins and it really does hammer the triceps to start each rep from a deload.

thanks Off Road.
there wasn't any rebound the way I did it (using Jay's tempo with a 2 second isometric pause) but the weight wasn't rested on any pins so the concentric phase wasn't coming from complete deload so I'll try that on Tuesday when I do the next lot... cheers.
