    How much cardio?

I made a previous thread regarding my training split being that im trying to make the transition to powerlifting. Im gonna stick to my split right now with main focus on big bench squat DL and overhead presses and also throw in another 4 weeks of sheiko37. Being that im still trying to gain size and weight how much cardio should i be doing. The most i do right now is 10 mins of abs 4 days a week is this not good? Let me know what you're doing im just trying to gauge where i should be at and how necessary it is for powerlifting. Thanks guys
    5'8 195lbs(5/4/12) start weight 118lbs.

    Bench 345 (raw) (6/4/12)
    Squat 425 (raw) (6/5/12)
    Deadlift 545 (raw) (3/31/12)

    Total 1315

VERY broad question is very many DIFFERENT answers.

Are you doing cardio after lifting?

Is your goal to gain lean mass?

What cardio/conditioning equipment do you have access to?

Doing abs is really not considered cardio. I recommend you do 2-3 sessions of cardio or conditioning a week. Also check into GPP.

    Supplements I currently take: Nitrean , BCAA , Creatine 500 , Multi-Plus , Fish Oil

I'm suprised (or not surprised I guess?) that more powerlifters don't incorporate some degree of cardio. All that activity will increase the size of your veins and work out your heart. Oxygen rich blood is always good at helping your muscles do awesome things...

I've started to notice most of the top guys do.

I think most lifters in general don't because they are lazy.

This was my excuse for many years.

No replacement for chalk, but your best alternative.

Yeah what vin said, I was thinking to myself, how is 10 minutes of abs considered cardio.

The chalk thing is a bummer. One of the things that pushed me over the edge to finish my home gym. Although I kept using chalk in the rec center even after they posted the sign, I knew the day would come they would harass me more about it. Try to conceal it somehow when you put it on your hands and do it lightly? Or do the people watch more closely than just using cameras?

Sadly you are better off buying one, its too much work to add on to my current work load. If I made lots of them I could come up with a way to make them much faster, but aside from starting a company and doing online sales in the future I don't see it really happening unless I lost my job or I somehow had more time.
