I came across a posting where was suggested as an alternative for whitenning teeth the following recipe:
3 tb baking soda+1 tbs salt+peroxide hydrogen
Brush the mixture on your teeth!
The guy who posted this recipe said that his teeth got whiter...I tried for a few weeks but I cannot say that I get visible results..
Brush the mixture on your teeth!
ANyone familiar with this home recipe?
It sounds like it would work..... over a duration of time. H2o2 is the main ingredient in many many whitening toothpastes. I don't think the salt is necessary, and even a 3% solution of H2O2 should be dilluted with about 1 tbsp of water. It eventually will wear away at the enamel of the teeth.
I have a tube of Colgate Whitening toothpaste that has those same ingredients.
If you are a smoker/coffee drinker, there's only so much toothpaste can do, I think. Also, some people have naturally yellowish teeth...
How about I knock your teeth out first ?Originally posted by starks713

I don't know if it unplugs the sink.
But like I said, dilluted with a tbsp of water it is very effective. It cleans your teeth, and kills bacteria. Most toothpastes have some h202 in them.
its used as a disinfectant usually when u get a cut...
Hydrogen peroxide is a chemical poison that is counteracted by...hydrogen peroxidase (go figure). Most bacteria cannot produce hydrogen peroxidase but it is easily produced by the human body so it's not a particularly good poison for humans but it is a very good poison for bacteria. That's why it unclogs your sink and disinfects a surface wound but it doesn't hurt you to have in your mouth (though I wouldn't suggest drinking much of it).
It 'whitens' your teeth by killing bacteria on your teeth and the baking soda acts as a catalyst for it. The salt simply grinds away at the plaque and knocks it off (in theory). It may or may not whiten your teeth depending on why your teeth are not white. Of course, sandpaper will whiten your teeth too (with somewhat negative side effects).
Now in pain, only working out the walking sticks.
lol lmao. i bet bacteria are what makes teeth look dark![]()
