You know Robert, this thread makes me think about your training. You can clearly lockout the moon. Almost all of your training is very ballistic with a bit of a heave off your chest. I wonder if you worked more with a brief pause, or very strict right off the chest, how much that might help your full range bench?
Chris, remember Rob does a fair amount of pin presses from a dead stop with the pins set right at chest level. He and I've had some discussions about that exercise because pin presses like that just kill my shoulder. At the same time, Rob had my wife doing them on DE days (basically pausing the bar on the pins each rep) earlier this spring and her raw bench shot up.
Finally ELITE @ SHW..
Single ply: 920 squat, 760 bench, 530 deadlift= 2180 total
Multi ply: 960 squat, 770 bench, 550 deadlift = 2250 total.
The next stop: PRO total.

Yep, I do remember, but I am guessing that makes up a small part of his training. Nearly every video he has ever posted has been of him really getting spring off his chest. Add to that pin presses with no eccentric component while very hard are different than lowering and then pressing from a pause.
Well I do incorporate pauses in my training and also on my dynamic effort days but on my heaviest sets I will do a touch and go. Now for the way it looks like I heave weight that is not the case I never bounce weight or heave it I just generate that much speed on a touch and go. These are just vids from my last two sets which were by far the heavest. An finally my problem is my lockout last meet I barely missed 640 & it wasnt off the chest. Ill take all advice so I can break 700 soon enough. Thanks

Great work Big Rob! It blows my mind how loose you seem to wrap your wrist on that kind of weight! Keep it up!
