UPDATE, OCTOBER 12th, 2012
Hey folks,
I am dealing with some serious health problems and have been forced to suspend the journal temporarily.
I am trying to at least maintain my strength and muscle during this tough time with some light workouts.
When my health situation improves, I hope to just resume where I left off.

To retain muscle do heavy weight low volume. Good luck. I hope you heal up quickly.
Move heavy weight, eat, sleep, repeat.

Nice to see you committing to this regiment. Do you feel 2 movements is sufficient in your workouts? How long does a session take for you?

A session takes me about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on rest time. The main lift plus an assistance exercise seems to be a good pace for me, maybe can add more sets to the assistant work soon. (still dealing with a lot of health problems)
