You are about 80 minutes away from where I'm at (I'm basically southwest on I85). If you are looking for a powerlifting gym, there isn't much in between us that I am aware of.

There is a fairly decent garage type strongman gym on the west side of Auburn. It has alot of home made equipment, but the guys I know who train there say everything is rock solid for training strongman events.

    Finally ELITE @ SHW..

    Single ply: 920 squat, 760 bench, 530 deadlift= 2180 total
    Multi ply: 960 squat, 770 bench, 550 deadlift = 2250 total.

    The next stop: PRO total.

Here are some gyms that are powerlifting-friendly:

If you are interested in strongman training I do not quite a few local competitors and can get you in touch with them.

    Tom,

That would be awesome. Right now all I do is work with the gym I have. I know of FITT warehouse owned by Travis Self(not sure if you know of this one). I'm not sure why but he hasn't been very open to letting people train, only to be trained by him.

Anyways, Tom that would be great!

    Thanks man!

There is North Georgia Barbell II in Hyrum (spelling) Georgia if it's still there. It was last September/October. It is part of a big sports and MMA complex there. I think Newnan is not too far from there.

yeah I have heard of NGBB and actually went to there message board to ask this same question. They are a little over an hour away and for consistent training it wouldn't be possible. (its hiram by the way

i might check it out every now and then though.....

    thanks monster
