Most weight I've ever handled on squats. 530 was a joke considering it was a 10lb PR and I rushed my setup on the 550 and got a tad forward but quickly rectified it. Im almost certain I had the bar just a touch higher than normal.
If I have a good day next week and the stars are aligned and I get my setup spot on in the midst of anxiety and controlled rage I think I will hit 6 pies a side. Easy to sit here and type it though.. we'll see, quietly confident.

- worked upto 475 for 8 reps in 75 seconds...
although I stopped around 60. Wasn't there today.
did some back work after:

-Low neutral grip rows
-Shrugs
-Reverse pec dec
- curls
that was that. I've been doing consecutive 11-12 hour days laboring and Im very tired haha. Will check in peoples logs soon!

most I ever pressed overhead was 225 a loooooong time ago, today I hit 3 pretty good. Third was a grinder but I messed up the rep before so technically I did 3.5 reps. Good signs, think the close gripping and backing off overheads for a short while payed off. Last week of training now before the deload into the comp!

Haven't hit a max effort lift in a long time and my god was it satisfying just to load a bar up and go for it. Makes me miss the conjugate style of training but i've never had results or a run of training like this so you cant fix what isnt broke right... been saying id take 6 pies for a ride for a while now. There you go fella's! One happy man

thanks Brian, it looked easier on vid than it felt. I hit a wall about half way up and thought here we go. Felt good to get a max effort lift in though.
Bodyweight is at 255, I've been heavier but really struggling to put the extra 5 on or break past the old plateau. Maybe im not destined to be a big man afterall, or maybe I should stop crying about it and pick up the fork!

Saturday - Last session before deload
Log press
- worked up in 5's to a very easy 205x5
Yoke/Barrel carry
- 315 yoke - 175lb barrel - 20m each way x 2
Speed deadlifts
- 265 x 2 x 6
very easy and light session. deloading all week now into the comp. Can't believe how fast it has come round and in a few days time I can legitimately call myself a novice strongman haha. I'll mean it in every sense of the word, got a feeling I will learn a lot very quickly this weekend.

Truck Pull
Conan's Wheel
Log Press (3 different logs all @ 175, max reps on each in 75 seconds)
Deadlift (500 max reps in 75 seconds)
Yoke/Barrel carry - 600 yoke/ 265 barrel? - 20m each (fastest time obv wins)
Last 3 is where my comfort zone lies as I've been able to train them. First two will just be a case of getting through I think.
