    THE DIVA IN THE HOUSE

This site remings me of the free weight gym....few if any girls in the house. Well Iam here with all my womaness looking to learn a thing or two on this site. For anyone interested in my fitness journey I will post short version of my day-to-day journey towards the body beautiful. For those interested in the long version I will post a link to my blog.

I am 46 years young, I have 3 beautiful daughters age 23, 19, and 15 and a handsome son age 21. I have 2 grandchilden...a boy 17 months old and a girl currently 4 months old. I am happily married and work full time at a hospital.

I love to train and I want to look good and training and good nutrition is a must to look good at my age. I am planning on competing in a figure competition in November. It will be my first.

I like to journal/blog and read everybody elses journal. I hate drama, rudeness, know it alls, and judgemental people. I plan to be on this site routinely and visit the forums often. I will start my journaling later .

Not the greatest day so far

I hate to start my journal off on a poor note, but I am just having one of those days where nothing is going right. Usually I am upbeat and positive. Not today. I plan to go to the gym and do some moderate cardio to get my endorphins moving. I would train, but I better not cuz I have my power workout tomorrow. So I will just go do boring cardio.

Haha Angel and Devil Annette are awesome! Sadly, I have many of the same issues, I do great for 12 days during my keto phase, and then 13-14 I go crazy with carbs and processed foods, lucky charms being public enemy number one for me. I've recently changed a few things around that will hopefully keep me more strict, and that's limiting the number or refeed days to just one for the diet.

Power workout looks strong! Great work.

Well the Olympia is right around the corner and I am up a few pounds. I took a diet break all this week and the next and have been having too much fun. I got on the scales and was up to 140...yikes. What the heck...lol. So today I have been good as gold and I plan to be for the next week because I refuse to be walking around the expo or the Olympia shows looking "thick".

I am off UD2 for a few weeks, but I better watch may calories a bit more and keep my protein up.

I am staying at a hotel off the strip that has a fitness center. It has all the dumbells I need and a bench. That is really all I need to keep my training going through the week in Vegas. I plan to train Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday and maybe Thursday (I will be visiting a friend in Utah those days) and then I plan to train on Friday. Off Saturday and Sunday...then back to my UD2 diet on Monday

Currently I am doing Lyle McDonalds Ultimate Diet 2.0 which consists of 2 days of high volume glycogen depletion training, 1 day of a tension workout in the 8-10 rep range and one power workout in the 3-6 rep range. All full body workouts ( 4 full body workouts a week).

I had a blast in Vegas. I just took the time to write about my experience!! My diet sucked in Vegas and I am only 9 weeks out from my contest. Oh well...time to nail things down hard and I do have a plan to do just that! I think I can hit my goal in 9 weeks of no cheating and alot of hard training.

The Olympia was great!! I had a super fun time. What made me feel the best is that everywhere I went people asked me if I compete. So, I must be doing something right and am moving in the right direction at least. The funniest thing happened as I was at a booth looking at some contest suits. This asian lady asked me if I was planning to do figure or bikini as I was looking at the beautiful lime green sequined suit...it was a smaller suit. She said, that one might fit...then she looked at my butt and said...oh no it won't. You have a big butt!! Wow...that was humbling lol....gotta love her for tellin it like it is. She makes dozens of suit and she knows what a figure body should look like. She then asked me how many pounds am I planning to lose. I told her 12-15 pounds. She smiled and then stated that it should fit me good then and left me her card.....LOL
