    Powerlifter's first try at CF

    While I have lots of facebook friends into crossfit, I never tried until Saturday at a meet in my town ( kinda by accident)

    Sounds like you were sucking air after that WOD.

    Well, I only was a stand-in for 1 15 min round( heat,flight, whatever CF calls it). I made it through the flight without dying is about the most positive thing I can say. Burpee box jumps, person carry, kbell carry or holding a kbell while "resting" briefly for the whole 15 minutes pretty much non-stop. The other issue I have is that that was the first real attempt at running at all since tweaking my Achilles tendon over a year ago. Before that, I was doing a bit of interm. jogging during walks, doing some tire flipping, farmer's walks & such for conditioning, but just some walking & recumb bike recently
