Just an off day. I think the new Jersey Iron program will do you really good. Im looking forward to seeing how everyone performs on it. We will all be resetting it next week after this weekends meet.

Hey Brian, I'm gonna write my training log again till my meet in August at least, since I have internet regularly now. How's everything going? I just checked the last couple pages of your log and saw your doing a meet around the same time as mine. Which one are you doing?

I think so to, and I'm super excited to start it. I need a break from what I'm doing and this is the direction I was wanting to take. I decided to start it early and I just added 3 light weeks to front of the original program.
Yes they can, and it sucks! Hopefully things will get better as I start to prepare for my meet.

Done....Today I decided to start my training for my meet in August because I needed the change. So not a bad start, the 730 pull was a little harder then I expected, but I still got it. My goals have changed a little bit for this meet. I was wanting to compete at 242 so I can attempt to break the USPA 242 raw total record. But, now I'm going to decided the week of the meet whether or not I'll cut, depending on how much I weigh. It seems like lately, this sport isn't fun to me anymore. The training and dieting has become so hard for me. I think its because I put a lot of pressure on me. I tried to diet so I can get my weight down, but, I love food and I love to eat what I want when I want. So, I stopped doing it. I'm still going to eat clean, but if I want junk food, I'm going to eat it. I woke up today @ 247, and I ate like shit all weekend and drank a lot of soda, lol. So we'll see what happens the week of the meet. I love powerlifting, and I love to train. So now my main goal is to bring the fun back into it, so I can enjoy doing what I do.

I've found coaching to be immensely rewarding. Helping someone achieve their goals, hit PRs, and succeed is more fun than I ever thought. Speaking of which, thank you again for helping my hit that bench PR on the platform!
Dropping some of the pressure off yourself is key. I know you're never going to be the type that accepts less than the best on the platform. Not worrying about weight classes will help put the fun back into the meets.
Hell, go up to 275 and bust 500 on bench!
