LOL, no cardio is the ideal amount of cardio so far...
I think that Cardio is made by the same guys who make Solid Diet.
Cardio is the Italian word for Hard Paper.

from what ive seen on another board (im sure you could hazard a guess which one) seeing 7 or more isnt entirely uncommon. heck sometimes they are "bulking" while doing this. crazy, man, crazy!

So what do you want to know?
What we do now, or what we do when cutting? When I'm cutting, I'll do 3-4 sessions each week. Now I do 0-1 session a week.

Super old thread, sweet, i run 5 days a week. My theory is why look good on the outside if you don't look good on the inside, i remember watching old powerlifting videos and these guys would be struggling for a breath just walking up to the platform, what good does that do you when you can deadlift a bajillion pounds but can't make it to your car?
Gotta be balanced in my opinion. I like the whole package, stamina strength speed, I look at it in terms of fighting, if the guy is stronger than me but doesn't have as much endurance then I will run circles around him, let him throw my body weight around until he gets tired and then i'll move in for the kill. just my bias...

consistency and intensity.
Word I laugh at those guys that just lift and do no cardio. Whats the point in bein all big but have no stamina.
I mean Track runnersthose guys look good. They are nice and balanced. But then you look at the marathon runners in the olympics they look nasty and skinny
Balance is my way
Define cardio. If your talking about anything that raises your heart rate (weights, rock climbing, racquetball, hiking, etc), then I probably do 7+ a week. If your talking about dedicated running/jogging/dumb stuff then maybe 1x a week.

For those of you doing it 3 times a week or more, what does your cardio routine consist of? Mine right now is ~20min of HIIT as talked about on the "How To Do Cardio If You Must..." sticky.
Curious on others routine...

I lift 5 days a week and do 2.5 miles of cardio after every workout (2 mile run, 0.5 mile walk to cool down). I don't know if I should cut that down some since I'm trying to bulk up a little right now. I figure even if I cut back at some point during a bulk I'd still want to run after maybe 3 workouts a week just to keep my stamina up for when I decide I want to cut and b/c it's just good in general to keep your heart in shape.

Exactly. I am required to be in good cardio vascular condition since I am in the military. Even if I wasnt I would have to do some type of cardio to keep my BF down. I have mild hypo-thyroidism so I have a hard time stripping BF even when on a strict diet. Pre-contest I do about 30-45min 5 days a week
Weight:Current 195 B: 365 Raw D: 495 w/belt S: 505 w/knee wraps and a belt
I run/walk anywhere from 2.5 to 3 miles 5 times a week. I typically walk a quarter mile at the beginning and end of my cardio session and sometimes a quarter mile in the middle to catch my breath for a minute.
