Great job on the openers!!! I wouldn't sweat it brother, you might be peaking at the right time.

We worked up to 50% or so ust to keep the blood flowing and keep form in check. I ordered knee and wrist wraps from Rhino (change up from my usual Titan wraps) and they came in 3 days ago so I wanted to just put them on and get a feel for them. They are seriously the best wraps I have ever used. Even though I only went up to 50%, they just feel way better. Anyway, feeling good and strong and very ready for next Saturday. Bench openers on Saturday.

Today was an extremely low intensity and light day. Just enough to get some blood in there and keep the movements fresh. Saturday is bench openers then I'm shutting it down. Got about 5 pounds to lose (no sweat) and I'll be ready to go. Gonna make some noise.

Thanks guys! Feeling good.
Just went in last night and did some light hamstrings and triceps. Foam rolled a bit and got out. Weighed in this morning at 182.4 so I'm good to go. Can pretty much eat normal and just cut some water tonight for weigh-ins in the morning. Weigh-ins are at 10:00 am and its a 3 hour drive. I'm teaching a bootcamp class from 6 to 7 so I'm packing tonight and leaving as soon as I let out class. I'll probably be a little thirst and grumpy in the morning so my class is gonna work their asses off. Hehe...

Meet Report
Weigh-ins:
So I cut down to 181 (from a high of 186) by the morning of the meet. I left town at 7 and got to Rock Springs by 10, just in time for early weigh-ins. However, the scale wasn't working so the meet director went back to his hotel room to get another one....and didn't come back for almost 2 hours. By the time I weighed in I had dropped all the way down to 178. I was kinda pissed but it was no ones fault. Sometimes shit just happens. So feeling very depleted we immediately went to Pizza Hut and hit the buffet.
The Meet:
Squat:
440 - 3 whites (easy)
462 - 3 whites and a PR (easy)
473 - 3 whites and another PR (stalled a bit a mid point but then shot up)
Bench:
325 - 2 whites (raised my ass a little) but easy lift
341 - 3 whites
352 - missed it for the third time in a meet!!! Frustrating!
Deadlift:
480 - 3 whites
507 - 3 whites (pretty slow)
518 - didn't even break ground
So ended with a 22 pound squat PR (should tie me for 47th on PL Watch rankings) and a 16 pound total PR. I'm happy about the PRs but I'm pretty disappointed in my performance because I'm capable of alot more. Honestly, the weight cut hurt me, especially the 2 hour late weigh-in. I just felt depleted. Again, nobodys fault, but it did affect me. I am officially retiring from 181 though. My bench is just not gonna move till my bodyweight does so I'm taking the winter to grow up to 200 or so. Also, switching to conventional 3 weeks out was probably not a good idea but I'll get it next time. Steve Dennison ran a great meet and I had alot of fun. Met some great people and lifters as well. Looking forward to doing another USPA meet in the future. Thanks for everyone for supporting me during the training cycle!
