    I'm back and need help

    Hi guys

I've been away for a while because I havent been able to train.

On the other hand ive gone from 135 to 147lbs. Mostly in body mass rather than muscle. I'm not "fat" by any means but I am now in a possition to have a good "basis" to work on, I believe.

I feel much more solid. I'm not the fittest guy around any more but at the same time I don't think it would take much for me to get fit again. although this isn't what i'm aiming for. I want to be big and honestly I don't care if I can't run a marathon any more. I'm not boxing any more due to a shoulder injury so fitness isn't a HUGE factor.

Any way, this is why I am posting. When I was boxing I suffered a shoulder injury. I tore my rotator cuff. I went for physio and it hasn't cleared up. Since then i've changed doctors and they have referred me to a different hospital for treatment. Which is great news. As I didn't have much faith where I was.

I was just going to ask in the mean time while I am still recovering what lifts can I do that wont require much in the form of shoulder movement or strain on my shoulder?

Any input would be great, thank you.

Did they give you cortisone shots?

    Tryne,

I fought for ten years until I had a retina start to detach. don't hear much from former boxers around here. maybe they're all in jail...lol anyway, I had and still have a shoulder problem that I train around(weird, as I can train shoulders and inclines, but can't do flat bench or any flye movements) what I was going to say is if you haven't had them, stay to fuck away from the cortisone shots, they screwed my shoulder up far worse than it already was. maybe it was the false sense of security they give you while they work, but whatever it was, they helped me zero, and I still believe they either directly, or by my own hand when pain free, hurt me far worse than helped. I also have a buddy who said surgery only lead to more problems. just a little info for you. good luck.

didn't mean to make you nervous

    Sorry man,

didn't mean to sound negative or scare you....I have trained around that shoulder for fifteen years. just have to be aware of my limits. yours will settle in and you will just have to learn to listen to your body when it sends you messages...if you know what I mean..hang in there.
