I feel out of the loop. Has anyone else seen this? I found it kind of interesting. I think I agree with a couple pieces.

Generally, if you read a piece of advice on the internet, assume it's wrong until proven otherwise. This applies especially to "conventional wisdom". -Belial
Before even going to the link, I think a lot of people would agree that there are some serious issues with the SS protocol. I never enjoyed teaching powercleans to beginners w/o someone to coach proper technique. Plus, the photos are ass terrible.
My road to powerlifting:
===thecityalive is dead meat===
Current RAW PRs:
Bench: 250 (9/16/11)
Dead: 495 (3/19/12)
Squat: 425 (4/23/12) <------- [NEW PR!]
Total: 1170 lbs.

He lost me here
Let me make this very clear. Someone who can't squat 225x5 is physically incapable of overtraining. You simply do not have the CNS recruitment to overtrain. So, instead of sticking to the A B A, B A B, format, train as often as you feel like it. If you can go 6 days straight alternating the two workouts, all the power to you, if you are starting tofeel to beaten up, drop back to 3-4...
So which is it? Either people who can't squat 225x5 are incapable of over training and can "train as often as they like" in which case they wouldn't feel beaten up or they can over train.
In any case it's a dumb thing to throw out an arbitrary number like "225x5" and say "Anyone who squats less than that can't over train". Over training is relevant and is not the same baseline for everyone.
He makes some good points but as often as not he's right for the wrong reasons.

And that is the problem with being dramatic....it can come off as dogmatic.
No idea if he is a poster here or not...but not sure what his deadlift and squat have to do with the articulation of his ideas. Which is what I am discussing..not his deadlift/squat/particular training method.
