    Disabled Weightlifters / Bodybuilders

I was just wondering if there were any other disabled weightlifters / bodybuilders on here?
And if so, what disability you have? and how you have found a way of performing certain exercises? i would love to know what your routines are?
do you mix your prescribed meds with supplements and have you had any side affects?

Depends what you mean by "disabled". I've worked with a number of disabled athletes (amputees, MD/MS) in all areas, and could definitely give you a few training tips I've learned along the way.

    Hi,

I personally have an unknown leg problem where somedays my legs do not work at all and other days they may work but my knees give way. so, i am unable to perform exercises that normally require the person to be standing ie the dead lift. (most exercises i have adapted in the sitting position) but for some reason am struggling to adapt this one. as i am back in the gym after my last op i wanted to create a better routine than i had before, so, i have scoured the internet for a good routine and have put together a 5
day routine for 2 weeks and am looking for another mass gain routine for the following 2 weeks to alternate.
was just wondering if anyone out there in a similar sort of position had any success?
i also wondered if anyone had any problems with supplements clashing with meds? as i am on some strong pain killers and muscle relaxants was not sure if these would do me good or bad? alongside other meds. :-(
