Bottom line is there is a time and place for each type of split with a properly designed program. No one type should be done all year long and it depends on the individuals current needs state what type of split they should be doing.

You can have great success from all types of splits as long as the program is set up properly. Most experts agree that bodypart splits have there place, as well as push/pull, upper/lower, etc... Its everyone else who tends to disagree.

Right now, I'm doing a 5/3/1 template thats full body. You've probably seen it in the second edition. It seems to be just enough for me.. especially with the little time I have. I think I made my best gains ever on a modified bgb split.

    How bout you?

I will say this tthough..its nice to see people at least more open minded these days. I remember back in 06 I posted a bodypart split and everyone told me how dumb it was and things like that. Credentials were based on number of forum posts, lol.

There was also a time when general forum posts and journal posts didn't count towards your post count!

Upper/lower using the DC 2-way schedule, but done 4 days a week. Usually 2-3 sets per muscle group per workout.
