lol oh... "Hubris (play /ˈhjuːbrɪs/), also hybris, means extreme pride or arrogance. Hubris often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one's own competence or capabilities, especially when the person exhibiting it is in a position of power." - wikipedia
Nice lift..but whats with that crap at the end?

Grats on the lift mate.
If I may just point out, whilst you're looking at what youtube wants to see - no one wants 30 seconds of you preparing, so you could really have started this video at about 25 seconds, and finished at 35 seconds.
But once again, well done on the achievement!
Yes loose the weird parts in the vid but well done, strong!!

Bring your stance in, arch your back harder, and straighten your arms out before you pull.

Just get under the bar!
Great advice. However, I find if I bring my stance closer that I use more lats in the lift. I find my wider stance allows me to use more hips and legs.
Agreed with the straighten arms thing before lifting... i just do the rolling thing for psych purposes.
I'll try some of this stuff next week. Thanks!
Nice lift, went up nice and quick. Very impressive indeed for your bodyweight!

Bet it would be nice to just hit 3x your bodyweight lol. Best of luck to you mate, just go up slowly - don't go pulling anything!
You probably could improve your form a little..but I wouldnt worry about it obsessively. This is what Jim Wendler says about it:
"On many max effort lifts, your form is going to be a little messed up. You’re going to be straining and squirming, and many times your body is going to be contorted into positions that are better suited for circus freaks. I have seen it, and I have done it. Now, there is a difference between having form that is ok and form that is dangerous. If you feel that your form has deteriorated to the point that you may get hurt, it’s time to shut down, or take some weight off the bar. Nothing gets accomplished with bad form, and nothing gets accomplished when you are hurt."
Take it for what ya want. Just another opinion. As long as you dont hurt yourself.

Good lifting, guess I'm the only one who puts my headphone cord inside my shirt when lifting.
Ummmm, I weigh 160 lbs and don't come close to DL 450 so I'd be taking a video and celebrating too! That don't say arrogance at all, just proud of a kick but achievement. If his form needs some improvement then just give some positive criticism.
Arched back or not dude that was impressive! Congrats![]()
