Video: 100 lb dumbbells bench press x 11 reps at 157 lb bodyweight.

For my range of motion (ROM), I bring the weight down until the back of my arm is parallel with the floor and this still hits the chest well and I get a massive pump. As you can see from the picture, this range of motion does produce good results for me and my chest, when flexed, does look okay. The reason I cannot go deeper than this on my dumbbell bench is due to shoulder impingement. Jason Huh, who is a professional bodybuilder, uses a limited ROM on his lifts as he believes this creates more stress on the muscle due to constant tension and I like to apply this theory to my dumbbell bench. Now for those who still are going to hate on me, let’s see you do the same lift, POUND FOR POUND and with the same form.

Well, when all you really need is a pump, I suppose this is ok.

From lots of reading, I can see there are several methods to get big/strong e.t.c.

They all seem to work when put in practice by professionals and enthusiasts. Which leads me to believe, that in the end, every practice works the muscles in one way or another, so they grow. Simples.

Its impossible to say which is better, or which is faster, but its not measurable because there are too many variables.

But as I always say, if it works for you and helps you achieve your goals, good on ya! And keep it up.

This. If you don't want people commenting on your flaws, don't mention them.

    Weaksauce.

And yes, I can put up way more pound for pound with that ROM.

And no, I'm not mirin'. If I wanted to be small I'd lose 30 lbs and look just like you.

the first 10 seconds of the video alone made me press stop, sorry but 100's x11 with a half ass ROM will impress very little amounts of people on this board...

Please, don't. Why are you trying to impress a bunch of people you don't know. None of us give a shit about you.

If you're so desperate for a pat on the back start a journal. Those who care will follow you. Please stop polluting the boards with these nonsense videos.

Your chest looks fine. The limited ROM is silly and your shoulder impingement claims is b.s. You can easily get a full ROM if you back off the weight a bit.

In the end, if you are training for size then you may want reexamine your philosophy as it has only gotten you to 157 lbs.

Yes, it had a lot of nonsense as mentioned when you originally posted the vid. The pull is impressive for your bodyweight, but we don't need the solo posedown and the attitude that comes with it.

Let the lifts do the talking no need to add ego pictures or excuses. You vids won't get hacked down so much if you back off with the ego/attitude.

There are some big lifters on here, they'll post some training vids, and they never give an excuse and usually welcome support as well as honest criticism. And on the other hand, when average joes like me post, they give out the same respect and supportive critique.

This. People on here can offer some really good support or feedback if you speak maybe in a different manner. We are all here to learn.

Dude, this is getting old. No one on WWB is going to be "miring" someone with such limited ROM, regardless of body weight. Not impressed. In the amount of time you spent editing your video, you could have been doing 80 pd 3x10 to eventually work up to a decent set of 100x10.

Also, don't f***king throw your weight at the end - it can damage the dbs. If you can't set the weight down properly, the weight is too heavy for you. Unless your breaking a world record or in a competition, this is a sign of 1) a person new to weight lifting, or 2) someone seeking attention from others at the gym. Lame.

What is the point of your posts anyone? You're so defensive out the gate that I get the feeling your not looking for constructive feedback.

Just keep doing your thing man. No one can tell you what works for you but you. You know best what works because you are the one it has to work for. Seems like what you are doing works best for you, so you keep doing that.

While true people can certainly provide ways that work better. Whether it will be worth anyone's time or not I don't know.

I personally never like giving advice to people because they never listen. People who work out seem to be so close minded. Not everyone obviously but a lot of people. Which I guess makes sense with all the misinformation that gets passed around.
