WOW. Long Start command. That makes the lift so much harder wich makes the lift so much more amazing.

Impressive bench and looked pretty easy. He could have a shot at the all-time raw bench in the near future. He's got to be the closest out of anyone competing right now.

    430lbs. raw bench

Wow!! That is one strong dude. Super impressive.

Nice pause. I agree with Scott, the start command makes it much more difficult

Here is 660 lbs lift from two years ago, so he has been making steady progress and it looks like the all time record could be within reach for him if he continues.

    Kirill competes as a SHW.

Kirill Sarychev vs Eric Spoto for the fight of the new all-time raw bench. IDK but he looks pretty lean, since he is already a SHW, what if he bulks up to hit 720+. It seems possible.

Spoto doesn't even compete. He has a to do a meet first before we compare him to this monster.

Could not agree more. Gym lifts while awesome and impressive, don't deserve to be compared to competition lifts

I agree with you and Scott, but it will still be a good match up.

Does anyone know how tall this guy is? Looks at least 6 7'.

Also, there seems to be a tendency with the tall guys benching bigger weights. Wasn't it believed that the short guy has better leverage with the shorter arms? Al Davis, Scot Mendelson, Ryan Kennelly, and this guy are all at least 6 ft, don't attack me for not mentioning other great taller benchers or the shorter people like Vincent who have benched 600+.

A taller person has longer and bigger muscles when compared to a short guy. Short guys do have some leverages that also help.
BUT what if you were to take Ed Coan at his current 5'6" frame or whatever and make him proportionately taller at say 6'2". He'd probably weigh like 320 lbs. Which Ed Coan would lift more weight? I say the taller one

This guy has decent leverages to bench. With a good arch and actually I believe shorter than average arm length relative to his height. His upper arms only get to about parallel to the floor which is a much better leverage point than below that. Even though I am a lot shorter and big for my height with relatively short arms, even my upper arms are a little below parallel to the floor to touch (I can't arch good though). So that is how someone taller can still have as good or better leverages. (I'm also nowhere near as good of bencher but I just make sense in that example of a shorter person with shorter arms too.)

Now Al Davis is the only one of those that I have seen bench completely flat back, real high on his chest and have long arms, but some people are just unusually strong. Most people with that type of build are not good benchers.

Good point. I personally touch the bar to the upper abdomen and I do get a lot out of my arch if I arch as much as I can.
