    585 X 5 Deficit Deadlifts!!!

This was the first dead session where my abdomen felt solid again. Unfortunately my long time training partner Ricky ruptured his distal bicep tendon. Anybody here have any experience with a tendon rupture??

This is at Seattle Strength and Power. The owner trained with Doyle Kennedy for many years and has been a huge help with my pull. Great gym!!

Strong work as always Justin. Lookin Jacked but, where is the tan? I will ask my wife about some good tanning salons in your area! But, to training.. How often do you incorporate deficit pulls? Is there a reason for 3" opposed to more or less? Would you reccomend using deficit pulls even if you are already fast off the floor and primarily have lockout problems? Thanks!

i just ruptured mine on june 16. had surgery june 19.

i'll start rehab using very light weight in 2 weeks. now, i just do ROM exercises with the assistance of my other hand

it takes 6-12(?) months for a full recovery.

here is a forum devoted to it:

he should have sugery within 4 weeks max from when it happened, otherwise it could scar over. then he'd need a graft / transplant.

by the way, surgery isn't "necessary, but without it, he will lose ~60% of his strength in that arm and be "disfigured" with "popeye arm".

I save the tan for the last 4-6 weeks leading up to the meet. You cant look that good AAAND be that strong all the time!!

I like to add them in every 3rd or 4th M/E deadlift workout. BUt keep in mind that I only pull heavy every other week so it can be a couple months before I get back to them. I have found that they help with speed off the floor and lockout.
