    Dark Knight Rises

Anyone see it yet? Was I the only one dissapointed? I just found it too slow. I didn't like the Bane character. I think Tom Hardy is an amazing actor (go see Bronson to see how talented he is) and he was wasted behind that mask and with that silly voice. It was an ok movie. I was Dark Knight (especially that first robbery scene) every time it comes on tv. I would pass watching Rises again. I think the bar was just set too high with the Dark Knight. I also don't like Anne Hathaway, but I left that emotion out of it. She was actually pretty good. I just don't find her in the least bit attractive.

I pretty much agree with everything you said especially about Banes voice, didnt really fit his look. The story line was quite predictable as well. Overall i still liked it.

Did you see the trailer for that superman movie? I've never like any superman movies but im curious about this since its made by Christopher Nolan.

Haven't seen this one yet, but plan to. The Dark Night was a very good movie, but my favorite "Batman" movie is Batman Returns. Dark Night was a great movie featuring Batman.

Definitely in agreement here about Bane's voice.

I wouldn't say I was disappointed, overall I liked it but there's certainly some things I didn't love and thought it dragged on a little too long.

Did you see the trailer for that superman movie?
I did. I'm interested too but the trailer I saw was very preliminary and did nothing to heighten my interest.

    Spoiler Alert.

I actually was going to make a thread about it when I got home from seeing it, but couldn't be "nice" about it.
In my opinion the movie was great until the last 30 minutes. My friend and I predicted everything down to the last horrible detail. When Bane was killed 2 of my friends walked out of the movie. The first 2.5 hours were great to me, I sat there thinking "wow best one yet". Then it was all taken away.

Really, I felt the other way around. I was so bored during the first 30 minutes I wanted to leave. Thought the whole plane scene was just stupid. I was glad it picked up in the last 30 minutes. Thought the "war" could have been cooler.

And slightly off topic, but if you haven't seen Bronson, go see it and tell me Hardy isn't one of the top 5 actors out there right now. He was ridiculous in that movie. Glad he is at least getting his due with big roles.

I probably would have felt the same way, but the friends I went to see it with are huge batman fans. Like graphic novel comics ect. And they got me into it as well. Christopher Nolan has made the best batman movie (if your into the graphic novel type stuff), and I never even like any of the batmans before his direction. The other one with bane was just an abortion. This one followed the story really well, except when bane broke batmans back, batman was killed (this is what we really wanted to happen). I guess the part that really did me in was how Bane was killed, and the disney movie ending. I thought the initial batman/Bane fight was absolutely awesome. I loved the character so much I changed my avi instantly lol.

Catwoman, in this movie, is probably one of the most attractive, most clever, feminine-yet-strong characters I've seen on the big screen. Different strokes for different folks, of course.

I can't imagine the movie without her, actually.

JGL gets huge props, though. Glad to see where his character arc went.

Totally agree, he was in a programme over here years ago (the take) and was brilliant in it, glad to see he's going places now, especially after a bit of a chequered past

Have you guys read the articles about bane, being alot of GCI and not really being that big? I've seen a few pics to go along with the claims and it seems legit. The had to CGI he back acne and tatoos out anyway, so it seems plausible they would give him another 40 pounds lol.

Oh yeah, not saying he didn't bulk up. Also, Nolan said there would be no CGI done to his body, other than the tats. So IDK...

lighting makes no effect on how he looks? really? why do bodybuilders tan and oil themselves up before competitions? to catch the light so of course lighting makes a difference

I totally loved TDKR... I loved TDK as well, but I think this was just as good if not better. Loved Bane and his voice, unlike everyone else. He is a respectable crazed evil villian. Could've done without Catwoman but it is what it is - movie gets a 8.5/10 in my book.

I have probably read 100 articles on him so far, and some are saying he had a bad cycle when preparing for Bane. Compared to the successful ones with Bronson and Warrior.
