    Appreciation of our forums/members

Is Wannabebig the best weightlifting forum? Definitley at the top of the list.

It gets a little slow around here sometimes, so I occasionly venture over to other sites when I'm bored.

I was just on bb.com's forums and clicked 'today's posts'.

Some of the top 20 or so threads:

How buff girls are ugly, how they all order fast food burgers plain because that keeps you cut, jersey shore stuff, list of 5 chicks where you pick your wife?, three threads with bro/brah in the title... Had to just click the exit button because that was pretty ridiculous.

Just glad our forum has a very low % of douchebags, and when one does come over here we ridicule and abuse them until they leave haha.

And another thing, crossfit forums are full of some very smart and active members. You can find good stuff over there. However, their journal section is weird. I've posted my training for like a month over there with nobody dropping in for feedback/advice. Same thing with the other journals.

This could be seen as needy on my part, but why keep an online journal? Might as well just have your own personal note book.

Our journal community has got to be hands down the best, everybody gives a ton of support to each other. When I hit a big PR I'm excited. I work out alone, so there's nobody to share it with. I can tell my girl friend, but she has no idea what the significance of a 25lb PR is. I can tell friends, but they don't give a shit. Everybody needs a pat on the back. You can definitely get it here from people who live the same life as you and are striving to get those same accomplishments.

Everything I learned about lifting was from this site. Ive been able to go from 125 to 180 back to 135 then 185 back to 170. This is definitely the best lifting site out there IMO.

bb.com has some pretty knowledgable people if you can weed out the garbage. And there's a LOT of garbage.

I agree. The powerlifting mod is ban/threadlock happy as well.
Weakest person on the forum, and my bench is higher than my squat.

Shhh, he posts here too. lol

And actually, he does an excellent job. Before he was the mod, it used to be almost as bad as everything else.

Lol Im not ragging on the guy, it is actually nice. I frequent alot of forums that need more mod activity. I was just stating a fact, don't slip up over there, or you'll get the ban hammer.

I really like that anyone can come here and get personal feedback and tips from the pros in the sport. I don't imagine many other sports / forums have that.

I decided to check in there to have a look at the PL section, and this was the first thread I saw.

I have to go clean up now, I've pissed myself thoroughly.
