Who here would be interested in some sort of challenge?
Maybe something involving barbell curls such as 1/2 body-weight for max reps?

I can't do them right now due to an injury, but they are pretty fun to work on since you can usually make some good progress over a couple of weeks if they become a focus (could have a contest that spans 4-5 weeks to allow people a few attempts to hit bigger numbers).

I'd be in with any challenge. I'd prefer a compound movement over something like curls, but am up for whatever.

How about squatting a barbell loaded with your body weight for as many reps as possible.
Sounds good... I will see who else responds and then dedicate a thread specifically for a challenge.
Squat might be a difficult one because of the variances in depth (typically turns into a giant argument), but it would definitely be a tough challenge!

if depth becomes an issue with squats, Just move onto the next logical step! Deadlifts for reps!

the squat or the deadlift sound awesome. I would prefer the squat over the deadlift though. Cant wait to see what is decided!

What about strict pushups where you chest touches the deck, but when your chest touches the deck you hands come off the ground? They do this in Crossfit to make the pushup measurable.

Tom,
Whenever the challenge is decided, what requirement will there be? Video submission, honor system? Also, is there going to be some kind of bragging rights or special notoriety that comes with winning? Maybe a small article about the winner or something like that?
