    Cleaning bars?

What do you guys use to clean your bars? bleach?

Latley, i've been tearing my hands up while deadlifting and i'm leaving blood all over my bar. Just curious what to use to clean it, that won't ruin it.

    Thanks!

Rubbing alcohol should disinfect and you could scrape chalk/rust off of the bar with a wire brush...

Methylated spirits and a wire brush is what I use also.

Also if I'm starting to tear a callus I'll use paper tape I think it's called across them it helps and also keeps chalk out of them and it's thin enough it won't affect your grip

Be very carful you don't get one of your cuts infected if you're leaving that much blood on the bar every week. Those things can get really nasty.

But yeah alcohol and a wire brush is good.

    Thanks guys!

@Travis-Trust me I know. A couple years ago, I tore a callous and I got a pretty bad infection. I really don't want to go through all that again, lol.
